Has anyone ever started at one point and rucked around Mott Lake? Sounds crazy right? I did just that this morning and it was great. Finished in 2hr 40 min. with a 56lb pack. This is something I want to do again after I am done with selection ( I go on Mar 15).
The AA Trail is open.

The map shows Mott Lake as that inty bity blue spot in the upper right.:D
All kidding aside the Ft Bragg/Fayetteville area does have some good trails to ruck on.
The River Trail off Ramsey Street is nice 0700 to 0900.
For a Saturday take a drive up to Uwharrie and hike/ruck sections of the Uwharrie Recreation trail - 25 miles IIRC or do the Dutchman's Creek Trail - 12 miles IIRC.

Another good one in the area.

You're right Raven Rock is just a short jump north from Fayetteville - west of Lillington. You have to kinda' piece the short trails together to get a long ruck in but the River Views are nice.
D 2 and her friends went up there last year. Got off the trail and took a bit longer than they expected to get back to the car.:D

I like running this one.
Here is the info on it: http://www.fcpr.us/documents/CFRTBRO.pdf
ETA that last bit from Sandy Dam Bridge to Jordan park has some nice hills :)

The CFRT is my backyard. I can see it from my deck off the back of the house. I use it all the time.

Boy, you guys are inspiring, but I guess if there is one thing good about being an FOG, it's that these days, ruckin for even 20 minutes with only a 20 pound sack on the back would not make my top ten list. I even quit carring my golf clubs and walking the course about 10 years ago, makes me feel ashamed of myself, just a little. :)
