Hi, I don't know if this is really relevant or not. I just thought some people on here would want to know. I found this link to a guys Myspace page who is claiming to be in Special Forces. First, I thought it was odd that a Special Forces soldier put his face on a Myspace page. Second, if he is Special Forces as he claims to be, he is making the profession look pretty bad . Heres the link if anyone wants to check it out. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=188320333

Yeah.... I know this guy. There we were, Dec 02, knee deep in hand grenade pins back in the box ya know. He was teaching me some grammar... mixed in with some ninja style kung fu. Urgent mish came down the pipe. LT didn't give me all the details because of the ultra zigzag Top Secrecy of the op. I was scared. Apparently we had a bird go down in Sadr City. The LT and I moved in total stealth through the Shia stronghold to the crash site, when what to my wandering eyes did appear? Yep, a miniature sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer. It all became clear to me; Rudolph had converted to radical Islam after years of harassment. He drove that sled right into the ground in an effort to provide the Jolly Old Elf as some form of Halat. The LT was all over it of course... he dropped that Jihadist prick. With a single round from 1000 yards, that little red nose went cold.

The night was long and LT Garcia was an inspiration to me. We saved Santa that night... actually LT did, I just pulled security. He would have to kill me if he knew any of this got out... and all of you too of course.

Here is another trick... How did Garcia make LT without a bachelors degree? Rio Hondo is a community college.

I used to know a couple of instructors with the LAPD academy. It was many many moons ago, but I will see if the contact info is still good.

This guy isn't even a good poser... he is just almost too stupid to be real.

What a HOS-6000. SF/Ranger, eh? Unless, the rivalry between SF/RGR pride has simmered over the past few years, no Batt-boy would wear the long tab over his Ranger tab or scroll. I can't imagine any 1SG, CO, BC, or BN CSM allowing that to happen without some form of command-sanctioned individual or group baby-seal clubbing as a consequence. Also, his blue cord is on the wrong side. And where are his jump wings? And if he is actually assigned to 19th, looks like he is A/5/19's problem. TX or CO would have made his stay rather short.

Guys, I have a MS page. (don't blast me please lol) I do it as a tribute to the troops. There are a LOT of REAL group guys on myspace, some of them are on my "friends list". They pose in uniform, in the box, with weapons, with teammates, etc. Give out information, etc. But we all know this guy is a complete POS Poser!
If there is anyone here who wants messages posted to him on his MS page, I would be more than happy to "send". Anything I can do to be of service! :lifter

They really should not be doing any of that. I know team guys who have pages, but none of them even mention they are in the army on their MySpace pages let alone team guys.

I am not trying to be a total "B," but other dudes posting their mess on the internet compromises my husband's ability to come home to me in one piece. The rear "D" was just reiterating to the wives at the last FRG meeting that they should refrain from posting pictures of their husbands and/or OPSEC/PERSEC info on open source pages (MySpace, Facebook, blah blah blah).

Sure we all get excited and want to share out pictures. Back when the better half first started this journey, I was dumb and posted pictures on the internet... then a few helpful people explained to me the impact that my naïveté could have on a whole bunch of people I had never even met. Five years later... maybe I am a little hyper aware, but better safe than I sorry IMO.

HQ6, I agree with you 100%!!! I started the page to keep in touch with friends down range, share pics, etc. And as I said, show support for the troops as well as remembering the fallen from 9/11. I don't even post pics of my QP, who is retired, as much as I would love to share! I really wish the command would look into this and take action. But I know they have better things to do at this juncture! I am in the process of deleting a lot of stuff off that page, as I have done with another site I am on...I learned a lesson!

Subject: EL TRUSTY (MR GREEN BERET)

Is posing as an US Army Officer with awards and badges that are false. He is seem in his pictures as warring a US Army uniform and displays a dress uniform that suggests he has won valor awards in the current conflicts in the middle east.

He is also suggesting he is a Law Enforcement Officer which may be false.

He also poses in picture(s) as an East LA gang member..

When this person was contacted to verify his eligibility, he use profanity and crude pictures. His cursing and pictures are visible on his home page.

I believe he is in direct violation of the Stolen Valor Act. This is an offense that can be prosecuted in Federal Court and if found guilty, the offender can receive a fine and time in Federal Prison.

I was not being nice... while you have many wonderful attributes Sir, speaking "southern belle" must not be one.

Having spent many years in Georgia and North Carolina, I understand it all too well...but you are correct, I do not speak it. ;)

Here is the message I sent the LPOS:

You're a LPOS Wannabe Poser, a disgrace to all who have earned what you falsely claim, and we're going to 'out' you to the world for what you aren't - SF.

FYI - you've committed a prosecutable federal crime under the Stolen Valor Act with your phony claims.

He still hasn't answered me - just set his account to Private and put up some bogus e-tough guy crapola to save face amongst his pals. What a loser.

Anybody from the 19th or the SFA in that AO reported him yet? I need to send the pics we saved to the POW/MIA Network so this loser can have his face posted where it belongs - among the other loser posers.

The beer and H.W. vanilla cream sodas will be cold, the tarna and shawerma from Zankou Chicken (http://www.zankouchicken.com/) will be hot.:lifter

For dinner, the Musso & Frank Grill on Hollywood Blvd. (Although I won't be surprised or disappointed if someone says "Heeey, can we get some more Zankou?");)

WooHoo I haven't had a good shawerma since I was in Saudi.

Nice little added bonus to see what this kid would do.

Maybe the commercial would go something like this:

Cost of gas to carpool to the airport with Dozer523: $20

Ticket to Southern California: $800

Dinner with Sigaba at Musso & Frank Grill: $100

Look on the face of SF poser when he realizes he has peed his pants after answering the door: PRICELESS

for extra added value:

The amount of shit he gets from his "homeboys" when the youtube video of visit hits the internet: Beyond Priceless.

He never will reply. He is not man enough to stand up and account for his behavior. One look at that weasel face should tell you that.
He never replied to me, and I was, on the surface, polite.

I would play for the priviledge of being in the background when he opens that door to see the real deal giving him a 'visit'... or better yet when he is removed in handcuffs for impersonating a soldier. :munchin

has anyone checked facebook for this guy?

Hey all!

Here is the Swetheart's lil photobucket link. Be sure to check out his slide shows.

http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r275/TRUSTY18/?start=all

Photobucket is a photo sharing site where people download pictures to link to social networking sites.

I bet he is as OG (Original Gangsta) as my 13 year old daughter.

Think SOCNET would be interested in their hero's websites?

Rangers have a great sense of humor, he may even get a medal?

Does his employer not only know about his SF claim, but about his "gang" ties and social networking sites? Many professional companies frown upon social networking sites, even without his false claims.

The site must be picking up on the link being accessed from this site.

If you want to see it by not going through ps.com type in www.photobucket.com once there do a album search for TRUSTY18 When I accessed it that way it did not show the invite up top tht you are referring to.

If any of the mods are uncomfy with the link you are welcome to edit my post.

Excellent question Holly......I'm wondering how TS will respond to it. This punk is really pushing the line. Any QP's out there from East LA that could teach this kid a lesson regarding "STOLEN VALOR".............. I served with a guy in SF quite a few years ago by the name of Antonio Manchez (?) who was from there and would be the right guy to go and talk to this young man.......Wonder if he's out there?????? Antonio, you got your ears on?

Sir,

Am only speculating here, but in my very, very, humble opinion, Team Sergeant is not going to have a very favorable response to this poor, stupid, fu**ing idiot...for The TS is a God unto himself...;)

Or so I have heard...:o And am running my little self for cover!

I bet he is as OG (Original Gangsta) as my 13 year old daughter.

Largely because of their unpredictability, the desire for attention, the recklessness--and misplaced sense of fearlessness-- of their youth, and the misguided belief that the respect of their elders is worth having, the wannabees can be more problematic than the OGs.

Last spring, I rushed to catch a train. My delight to beat the closing doors ebbed as I realized I was face to face with a pair of Bloods. (Bloods have a notorious reputation for violence because they're especially insecure.) The two were drunk and loud. A pair of hyenas walking on their hind legs. Those of us from the general population are doing all kinds of mental calculations: "If I get off at the next stop, how long until the next train comes?" "What is my risk factor if I don't answer this guy's questions?" "What does the Book of Guys say about discretion, valor, and getting one's ass kicked on the Gold Line on a Tuesday night?"

A few stops later, the situation took a turn for the interesting as a handful of young Latino wannabes filed into the car--yapping like jackals until they saw the Bloods. An exchange of hand signs and gang calls followed. We GP types groaned inwardly. Where are the sheepdogs (in this case sheriff deputies) when you need them? Fellow commuters politely avoided the "If things go bad, let's rely on the strength of numbers" look I had on my face. Those who would make eye contact offered a silent counter-proposal: "Since you're closest to the Bloods, how about you distract them while we get off the train?"

Fortunately, the arcane exchange of pleasantries established the Bloods' dominance. Everyone was relieved but none more so than the young vatos--a couple of them looked pale. It was my sense that they would have done what they'd need to do to protect their 'honor' but they were happier than larks that such actions weren't needed. (Then again, I could have been projecting....)

At the next stop, people disappeared from the car faster than a member of Starfleet could say "Energize!" As I am especially slow witted, I stayed on the car:rolleyes:. The conversation between the two groups that followed was instructive. The 'bravest' of the wannabes started to drop names of third party bad asses that he knew, or knew of. The more sober of the two Bloods, luxuriating in the moment, responded with cryptic answers meant to convey the insider knowledge of an eye witness to, if not a participant of acts of violence, mayhem, and murder. The vato got quieter as his homeboys seemed to be sending telepathic messages "Holmes, please shut the f up..." Eventually, the message was received.

By and by, both parties got off at their stops and I got off at mine. In my phone call to the sheriff's hot line, I voiced my concerns--maybe in a higher pitch than I'd have liked. The deputy talked me away from a trajectory of thought and we discussed more sustainable options. "These things most often happen on the Blue Line," she said, her voice a mixture of amusement and concern. She indicated that some sort of adjustment might be made and then rang off.
