NEW YORK – MSNBC's Chris Matthews quietly uttered "Oh God" as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal prepared to give the Republican Party response to President Barack Obama's speech to Congress. An NBC executive, who requested anonymity because the network is still looking into the matter, named Matthews as the one who made the live mike slip — it was so quiet most listeners wouldn't be able to identify the speaker.
I was watching on ABC so didn't hear it, but my (quite liberal) co-worker heard it last night, and SHE was outraged at it - it would be one thing if Matthews had said it sotto voce during or after the speech, but by saying it beforehand, he merely proves he is horribly biased against conservatives. Or maybe against (successful) immigrants, who knows....
