View Full Version : The Best and Worst Movie Presidents, Fox News..
After CNN & C-Spam ran the B & W Potus:

Fox decided to run their version of the B & W POTUS.. I think they come very close to my list,, with one exception..

I would have added President Lindberg (Tommy Lister Jr.), in the Bruce Willis Sci-Fi-thriller The Fifth Element (1997)
Over all, MY Best POTUS is a toss-up between Henry Fonda (Fail Safe) and Peter Sellers (Dr. Strangelove).
Anyone have any other candidates???

I liked Kevin Kline in Dave. Both as the sleezy President and as the "every-man" look-a-like.
I liked Kevin Kline in Dave.
Me, too. I also liked Henry Fonda in Young Mr Lincoln and Failsafe, Ralph Bellamy as FDR in Sunrise at Campobello, Martin Sheen as Jeb Bartlett in West Wing (especially the first episode when he told the ultra-conservative Christian loons to "Get your a**es out of my White House!"), and John Alexander as 'Teddy' (Teddy Roosevelt) burying 'Yellow Fever victims' in Arsenic and Old Lace. :p

Yes....Peter Sellers in Dr. Strangelove is my vote also, for the top spot.
Also to add.....
Harrison Ford in Air Force One...."Get Off My Plane !!!!"
Dennis Haysbert in 24....You know, the guy who plays the CSM in The Unit..."Who here can show me a Ranger Tab?!?!"
William Devane in The Missiles of October
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001137/
one more to add....
Charlston Heston as Andrew Jackson in The Buccaneer

OK . . . while this movie doesn't take place while TR was President . . . I think my favorite actor portraying a "future" President is Tom Berenger, when he played Lt Col Teddy Roosevelt in the 1997 movie "Rough Riders" about the Spanish-American War of 1898.
