Although San Antonio is geographically close to Mexico, I regret to say my knowledge of events down south is negligible. Any thoughts and perspectives would be appreciated.
Mexico seems to know something of how to stage a revolution.
There was a Dr. Urrutia who supposedly participated in Mexico's last revolution; a local park that came from his estate included a statue of a headless angel. Supposedly, his family had cut out a Mexican peasant's tongue to prevent the peasant from talking. According to the story, his daughter was subsequently captured and beheaded - he memorialized her with the statue.
Of course, there is a counter-story that says all of that is just a myth that the family applied to a statue they brought in from Europe. So I guess one chooses the story one likes best.
