This is a true story which happened today, 02/02/2009.

And the father had a dog run northward of his house.
And there the mother let his children spray-paint their bicycles.

And the mother commanded the children, upon thine own bicycle, thou mayest paint freely:
But upon the other items in the dog run, thou shalt not paint.

Now the imagination of the younger child was subtil and creative.

Her imagination said unto her: surely thou canst paint the truck parked in the dog run.
For the truck is blue, and the spray paint is blue.

And when she saw that the truck was blue, and the paint was blue, she desired to make the truck more blue.
And she gave also the paint can to her older brother, and he did paint.

And the window near the dog run was opened by the mother and they knew that they were caught.

And they heard the voice of their father arriving home in the cool of the evening:
And the brother and sister hid themselves from the presence of their father in their rooms.

And they said, we heard your voice in the house, and we were afraid, because our hands are blue.

And the father said unto the older brother, hast thou painted upon the items whereof your mother commanded thee that thou shouldest not paint?
And the older brother said, the sister which thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the can, and I did paint.

And the father said unto the younger sister, What is this that thou has done?
And the sister said, the paint was blue, the truck was blue, and I did paint.

And to the children he said, I will greatly multiply the story of your misdeeds by posting it upon the internet.
Because thou hast painted in the dog run upon items, which your mother commanded thee, Thou shalt not paint: the dog run shalt thou clean up.

The thorns and the thistles shalt thou clean up.
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou clean up the dog run.

And quietly, the father chuckled unto himself and remembered, some eight and twenty years earlier,
when he, whilst playing with the gearshift--IN THE EXACT SAME TRUCK-- which his father before him had commandest him not to touch, didst pop the truck out of gear and the truck didst roll down the driveway where it didst strike upon the other car.

And the father, knowing that he hadst received forgiveness from his father before him, did forgive his children and praised the Lord Almighty for the object lesson.

Nice story. Can see the kids now. Wait til I stop by, I'll bring a can of spray paint and see what they do. ;)

I doubt they'll be handling spray paint again anytime soon.

The wife decided to give them another chance today.
The sister rose up against her brother and sprayed him.
(should've seen that one coming, it's happens later in Genesis)

The moral of the story: there is no safe minimum time which children can be left unsupervised with spray paint.

Perhaps they can help with your roofing...:D

Let me get a dog house they can paint first, before they help with my roof.
