Reminds me of a Viet Nam era saying among fighter pilots, describing the risk that transmitting on almost any radio frequency will quickly get you targeted:
"The first one to light up, gets smoked."

In the view of some analysts, the growing nightmare in Swat is a capsule of the country's problems: an ineffectual and unresponsive civilian government, coupled with military and security forces that, in the view of furious residents, have willingly allowed the militants to spread terror deep into Pakistan.
The crisis has become a critical test for the government of the civilian president, Asif Ali Zardari, and for a security apparatus whose loyalties, many Pakistanis say, remain in question.
Seeking to deflect blame, Zardari's government recently criticized "earlier halfhearted attempts at rooting out extremists from the area" and vowed to fight militants "who are ruthlessly murdering and maiming our citizens
How do you deal with a society with half a population wishes death upon the other half. Who decides which morals and devices in which to follow. Any seeds of westernization are seen as a destruction of their own society yet they use such modern vehicles of fear and destruction? In Africa changes in power in tribes resulted in unstable living environment for decades.(follow the leader) I believe the same result will ensue with total destruction or long term welding and conforming to the angry fanatic fundamentalist which would create a disequilibrium and in turn a war with trading nations. Nations with relations are more likely to go to war than non trading nations as history would show. But the good news is the soldier won't be out of a job any time soon.
