I don't believe in coincidences. cui bono? Is there plausible deniability for this? Who has this kind of capability?

Hmm...the plague is transmitted by fleas, right?

And everyone knows that those who lie with dogs get fleas.

Does this imply that members of al-Qaeda lie with dogs? :D

BMT,
The article sounds suspicious, as the Health Community (WHO, CDC, etc) are generally ineffective in keeping something quiet, and if there was an outbreak, it would certainly raise alarm bells in this country.
It is incorrect to say “It spreads quickly and kills within hours".
The First symptoms usually come after 2-8 days, and is treatable with powerful antibiotics for seven to 10 days. Streptomycin and gentamicin are the most effective drugs against plague.
Other Antibotics are also available for treatment, depending on the type of Plague you have contracted. (bubonic, septicemic and pneumonic ).
Most “advanced” nations have the capacity to manufacture the plague bacteria.

Maybe Mugwamp has some insight into this article

I agree. Who has the best means of transmission? Again, cui bono?
Who has the best silver bullet to send this on the way to the proper target?
