A movie, directed by a Marine, is scheduled to be aired on HBO on Feb 21st. Its called "Taking Chance," and is about a Marine KIA being returned home in the company of his commander.

Here is the link for the trailer. Take a moment to view it and I'm sure you'll mark your calendar to remind you to watch it.

May be the first thing I have watched on HBO in years.

The LtCol was not his commander, BTW, he volunteered, IIRC, because he thought the Marine was from his home town.

I just watched the trailer on the internet the day before yesterday. It looks to be a very well made movie. I'll definitely be watching it.

The Sundance film festival movies always seem to be very well done. This does not seem the exception to the trend; I will have to find a tube to get HBO on.

I also enjoyed the Generation Kill mini series on HBO but what the hell do I know if it is realistic? but it sure was enjoyable from my seat cushion.

HBO has been putting out some quality programs recently.
John Adams, and Generation Kill to name a few.

Looking forward to this and The Pacific.
