Ran across this little gem today.

I believe if Patton were alive today, this is what he'd say about the GWOT and the current state of affairs in the US.

Can anyone tell me today if there is an officer, a General, that could motivate his troops like he did? I've heard the term, It was his guts and their blood. but non the less they would followed him into hell because they knew he would be the only one that could get them back out.......

When I retired from active duty, my impression was that the military would promote managers before they would leaders.

Is that the case today?
