I would have never sent and angry email, I would have simply never purchased any of their products, ever.
Same as I currently do for products made in kalif or massachusetts.;)

"The board of directors has asked Mr. Cooper to resign as President of Cooper Firearms of Montana, Inc.
Daily operations will continue with the competent staff currently in place in Stevensville, MT producing the finest, most accurate rifles money can buy."
The end... my grandfather owns one of these rifles (the Classic) and I just sent him this link. This "news" will definitely get a giggle out of the old man for sure.
Guess they Value their Customers more than their CEO making Public endorsement's of a Anti Gun Advocate. Bottom line is an important thing if you wish to stay open.
TS I do send letters/e-mails to company's that do not perform for the client. It is the only way they might know that their clients are upset. Everyone has the right to support who they want and he cut his own throat by being public about it. If he kept quiet he would still have a job.
Ain't capitalism grand?

This year, Cooper has given $3,300 to the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama. That's on top of the $1,000 check he wrote to Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2004, after he was dazzled by Obama's speech at that year's Democratic National Convention.

He was so impressed that he donated $1000 to a Senator from another state? That is just odd.

Why is that odd? If there was a hot young candidate who represented my beliefs I wouldn't hesitate to donate to their campaign regardless of what state they are from. Cooper is like a lot of gun owners. He believes that Obama and his cohorts only care about doing away with assault rifles and handguns. Since he erroneously believes that his beloved bolt action rifles would be safe he can justify voting for a candidate like Obama. Gun owners like that are myopic fools.
