Things just get niftier by the fracking day.

We should just pool our money and pay the Obama campaign for a list of issues we may raise and questions we may ask that are not 'racist.'

Of all the legacies Senator Obama will leave to America, among the worst will be the consequences of his opportunistic exploitation of American race relations.

Shame on McCain and Palin for using an old code word for black

By Lewis Diuguid, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.

J. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.

Those freedom fighters included the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who led the Civil Rights Movement; W.E.B. Du Bois, who in 1909 helped found the NAACP which is still the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization; Paul Robeson, a famous singer, actor and political activist who in the 1930s became involved in national and international movements for better labor relations, peace and racial justice; and A. Philip Randolph, who founded and was the longtime head of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and a leading advocate for civil rights for African Americans.

McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.

Shame on McCain and Palin.

I think that equality is a concept misused by socialists to describe their income redistribution schemes, and racist is a term haters use to demonize those who have legitimate disagreements with their positions, yet whom they also lack the facts and intellect to argue against.

Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Che, Fidel, Ho, and the entire Khmer Rouge were socialists as well as Obama, Wright, and Ayers.

The entire concept of meritocracy is lost on these idiots.

Guys,

You'll feel better if you go to the link, read the editorial, and then read all the postings as a result of that editorial. Mr Diuguid had his editorial clock cleaned over that piece of tripe! :D

As ever, TR nails the point.

I believe that we as a nation could have been (and still might be very) close to having that drag-out-pull-no-punches-I'm-sorry-that-I-am-about-to-hurt-your-feelings-but-I'm-gonna-say-what-I-think-without-apologies -we'll-mend-fences-over-a-beer-when-it-is-all-over conversation about race were it not for asshats who would rather exploit the issues than help resolve them.

The easiest ways to derail an honest exchange of views is to use deliberately ambiguous terms ('equality', 'justice', 'tolerance', and 'racist' top my list) and then look for reasons to demonize those with differing views.

Some of us keep forgetting that we are all Americans and our differences make us stronger if we don't let them make us weaker. It would be great if we could figure this out before those Salafist sh*tbirds remind us, again, that they don't care about our internal differences.

I hear you.

Being around the L.A. area is going to suck eggs if Senator Obama wins. As things stand, watching these fellow citizens walk around with their expressions of oceanic glee makes me want to tell them things they'll regret hearing.

As bad as things are over here in my neck of the woods, I cannot imagine how you endure the endless displays of misplaced self-satisfaction.

It's going to suck if he wins.

Ladies and Gents,

I grew up near KC, and this is nothing new for this guy. He consistently finds racial bigotry where there is none, and most of his writings are inconsistent with any logic. We more or less read him for comedy...

The Military Times poll seems to indicate, for military members at least, that the color of one's skin is important in this race:

He did indeed!!

Response # 2 (!!!) was very apt.

The race card has been played by BHO. McCain/Palin have said nothing about race in anything I have seen. BHO has played the card several times, including the primary run-up.

Take a good look at ACORN. ACORN IS BHO!! :munchin

The remarks give a good idea why the Stars subscriptions are in the tank.
