Just watched a video produced by Major John Plaster called Carlos Hathcock: Marine Sniper. It is published by Paladin Press, and you also can get it on Plaster's web site. www.ultimatesniper.com. Produced in 1993.

It basically is a one-hour interview of Gunny Hathcock, who had 93 confirmed kills in Viet Nam, and many more unconfirmed. 3 kills at 2500 yards! Very enjoyable video. Starts out with war stories. Plaster asks him to comment on the various stories recited in Charles Henderson's book on Hathcock, Marine Sniper. Very cool hearing it straight from Gunny Hathcock. He then asks questions about sniping technique, fieldcraft, and other issues like how Gunny Hathcock would like to be remembered.

The video is not a high-budget production -- the sound, lighting and music are all substandard -- but the video is otherwise very well done and a great watch. It is no substitute for Henderson's book, but I recommend it to anyone interested in Gunny Hathcock or the art of sniping.

Anyone else seen it?
