Here is a little color for your enjoyment. It is truly one of the great things about living here, the others being, well, damn the leaves are nice:D

You need to mark the spot from picture # 3 and retake it around late Feb early March.

IIRC you darn near had a ski jump off the house last year.

I like hills and four seasons. Tampa doesn't have either.... I'll get north someday. Thanks for the pics.

Hopefully things will be a little different this year. I just had 15 very large ( between 30 to 38 inch diameter and 70 feet tall) white pines harvested from around the house by a local logger that should provide a little better melt on the roof. He took out 4 large truck loads of logs for his sawmill.:lifter

Col M,

Reminds me of Plattsburgh, NY.

No more beautiful place in the world for the fall, than our North East.

Call me crazy, many do, but I even miss the snow falls in winter!

Thanks for the pics!!!

Those photos make me miss home. I love the jungle but I do miss the fall and hunting season.

Jack,
Great colors!
Good job getting the logging done before you had to wait for the freeze to use the horse drawn logging sleds on your iced skid roads. It's tough to find a farrier who knows how to forge caulked shoes for a horse today.

Beautiful pictures sir. Reminds me of home. I guess you can't beat Georgia for humidity and red ants but my heart will always be in the north.

Over 30 years. That is the next project that I have hired someone with the right equipment to come in and fix. Damn bear tore down the corner and it will take some heavy key stones and a tractor to do what is necessary to re-anchor the two adjoining corners.

There was a time that wall would be a project for a 12B W7 to get his team mates out for some cross-training. Pete are you listening too? Nice pix, had your first frost yet? Turn on the Gluhwein.

Ahh, I hear you. Those days are gone for good. No frost yet and that is really unusual. I think payback from Mutha Natcha is going to be a twelve letter word:D
