Question:
How would I download XP SP2 for a computer not connected to the internet? Is there a way I can download the files to a flash drive and upload them onto another computer?
Go here and follow the instructions:

Newest service pack is actually SP3, and here's the link to the total installer package.
XP SP3 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en)
Otherwise, here's the link to SP2, if you still want it.

If you have sufficient space on a flash drive (not sure how big the installer package is,) you can throw it on a drive, take it home, and install it, no problem. If you need any other assistance, feel free to ask.

I've been to both those websites, when you attempt to download it does so and attempts to update the computer its currently connected with.
Again, I wish to capture SP2 and upload it on a flash drive to bring another computer not currently on the internet up to speed.

Jeff, SP2 is a pretty big file. Over 250 meg I believe. You'll need a 500mb or 1 gig flash drive.
Try here..

click download and it will say "run" or "Save". Save it and go from there.
or here..

Right click on external Mirror and save file. You might run a virus check on it afterdownload but it should be good.

Yeah...just hit "save," instead of "open," or "run."
