RIP Sir. You were the beginning of my exploration of critical thinking, the human condition and life outside my comfortable little box. The city public library wouldn't let a young pre-teen check you out, but I "borrowed" The Gulag Archipelago from a relatives collection more than once to read and reread and reread your words.

"The Gulag Archipeligo" books occupy a place of honor on my bookshelf. Right next to Winston Churchill's WWII series.
