You left out Disney University.
The Big 12 is going to be very exciting this year. The Big 12 South is loaded with perennial powerhouses in fine form, and the North has a number of teams ascendant. Living in Texas, it's not like I ever have to deal with "bad" football, but this year should be a real treat!

WVU > All.
Last game of the regular season and, perhaps (probably) for the Big East Championship and BCS trip: University of South Florida :lifter versus West Virginia  in Morgantown.
Defensive End George Selvie earned his recognition last year. This year, the talk of the Big East will be running back, Mike Ford.
WVU loses to USF for a third straight year. WVU ends its regular season on a heart-breaker for the second straight year.
USF shocks the world. Whiskeyboarder graduates satisfied!
GO BULLS!!!!!!!!
WVU will lose at least one, but it will be to Louisville or Auburn, not USF (I'm a WVU alum but I'm also realistic). Ohio State will fall to Wisconsin (and maybe USC, gasp!) in great shame. The state of Florida will still look on in envy.
Virginia Tech will win the ACC, Clemson will fall to the Hokies once more.

Oh...when did the University of South Compton get a football team? :munchin
Face it, OSU will default into the Championship game...again this year, like the last two years and get stomped into the ground, like the last two years. Do you see the pattern here with the Suckyeyes? :munchin
I don't know who will be in the BCS Championship game, but who ever plays OSU, will win by 20....or more. :D
PS....I hope OSU gets hammered by another SEC team in the Championship game....ie...Georgia this time.

Default?! In 2006 OSU beat #2 Texas (the defending National Champs) in Texas, and #2 Michigan (undefeated up to that point). How in any way, shape, or form is that a default into the Championship game?!
Granted, last year was a much easier year for the Buckeyes, but who was more deserving to be there then them?

Georgia and Hawaii were more deserving than either team that played in the National Championship game last year, and I'm a LSU fan. :munchin
Um, by default, I mean that OSU has an easy schedule that allows them to be defaulted to the top of the poles. :munchin
Lets look into the 2008 foozball season....
OSU v USC - 9/13
OSU v Michigan 11/22
Georgia v USC - 9/13
Georgia v Arizona State - 9/20
Georgia v Alabama - 9/27
Georgia v Tennessee - 10/11
Georgia v LSU 10/25
Georgia v Florida - 11/01
Georgia v Auburn - 11/15
Now, by way of defaulting into the BCS Championship Game, OSU only has to "win" 2 games...to be in the Championship Game. Were as, Georgia will have to run the tables and go undefeated and win the SEC conference championship to be considered for a chance at the BCS National Championship game.
Its fair to say that OSU can go undefeated in its own division....well b/c well look at it. It will be hard, in fact down right Las Vegas luck for an SEC team to run the tables, go undefeated, win the SEC Championship and then make the BCS game. I hope I have shed some light onto the reason why the fan base for the SEC detest the BCS ranking.
With a playoff system, and each conference having a "Champion", you would then take each Champ from each conference and have a playoff. Finial two teams play for the Championship......every other level of foot ball has it..why not college..............oh thats right the conference with OSU and USC didn't want it, because of the money. :munchin

I'm actually all for a playoff system, as is every OSU fan I know. The system is set up right now to generate maximum televised ratings per game; that's all. Schools don't really have any say in it.
Conference vs. conference discussions are submoronic. Also, OSU is in the Big Ten, and USC is in the PAC-10; not quite the same conference.
Its fair to say that OSU can go undefeated in its own division....well b/c well look at it. I take exception to that comment.:D Just wait till the " Rodriguez' No Huddle /Shotgun/Triple Option/Spread Offense" hits The Big House. All kidding aside, that first quarter of the first game (or maybe the first six games) I'm sure its going to be quite surreal to see the shotgun spread formations on first, second and third downs all the time. There is something about that offense that I quite don’t like, but I guess one must change and adapt to the times.
GO BLUE!

I wouldn't count your egg's before they hatch.
New O, New ball coach, New strats. A big game like this, will be time for some key trick plays, over loading the strong side, utilizing the weak side on offense.
Look for Big Blue to roll into the Bend with some screens, mis-directions, power sweeps, option sweeps to the weak side. Maybe, just maybe a long ball here or there to keep the secondary on its heels.
For Mi to upset OSU...the following will have to take place.
OSU will be over confident...OSU will start strong with power blitz from the weak side and middle line backers, and maybe a safety or corner. OSU will be eager to stuff the inside running lanes.
With OSU being so brave, with the blitz and stopping in the inside running lanes, Mi will bounce to the outside with speed sweeps, quick screen, quick fades, options to the weak side and strong side.
If Mi can get to the outside and down hill, OSU wont be able to stop MI from taking it to the house. But, if OSU can contain the outside and force MI to run into the pile, OSU will control the game. Remember, who ever controls the ball, controls the clock. MI will attempt to get the ball quick and score quick, while OSU will hog the ball and use power plays, slow the tempo of the game down.
Should be a decent ball game, I do hope MI wins....they are due for one.

I would add that the most understated part of the new Michigan coaching staff is Mike Barwis, the new Strength and Conditioning coach. He's a former MMA guy - I believe he was undefeated after over 20 fights. He took one look at Michigan's gym, and scrapped it, requesting Michigan to spend in excess of $1 M on new equipment. They did. Many Michigan fans have seen this video of Barwis, and I am really impressed by what has come out of his mouth. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=25899597 Many ex-Michigan NFL players and other professionals have come back to workout with Barwis and have said that he may be the best in the business. I'd say Ohio State may need to be most worried about how fast Michigan will be next year, ignoring the change in offense.
Nearly every Michigan player has dropped 10-25 pounds over the summer as a result of this guy. He strategically places trash cans around the gym for reasons I don't need to go into.
Here's a link about the impact he has already had on the program in like 3 months.
http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/10900421
The pet wolves died last year. Mike Barwis had two of them which, to anyone who knows Michigan's strength and conditioning coach, is hardly a surprise.
"Nobody would dare mess with him," said Jason Seville, a former West Virginia wrestler who swore he once saw the 195-pound Barwis force a 300-pound Mountaineer heavyweight to -- in MMA terms -- "tap out."
"Whenever he'd give us that tongue lashing we were scared for our lives."
.....
To get to the weight room, players passed under a sign with a bold proclamation:
Through these doors walks the best-conditioned, hardest-working team in America.
It's more than a motivational line. The word has gone out about Barwis. Thirty-six pro and amateur athletes have been through the facility this spring and summer. Most of them are former Michigan players in the NFL. But there also have been a couple of NHL players, an Olympic wrestler and a handful of former West Virginia players -- notably Avon Cobourne (in the CFL) and Steve Slaton, who came in to get ready for the NFL Draft. Veteran NFL linebacker and Michigan alum Larry Foote was so impressed with his workout that he offered to pay Barwis. He was politely turned down.
Under Barwis, everyone started out with 10 reps at 135 pounds. One of the prize pupils, defensive tackle Will Johnson, is now doing four reps in the clean at 335 and bench pressing 515 pounds. Junior defensive end Brandon Graham sliced his weight from 287 to 255 and saw his bench press go from 315 pounds to 430.
What does this have to do with getting Michigan's mojo back? Plenty. Rodriguez has been consistent in giving his strength coach much of the credit for the rise of West Virginia. Mountaineers linebacker Marc Magro came in at 207 pounds, running 5.19 in the 40. He left after last season weighing 250 having shaved almost a half-second off his 40 (running 4.7 seconds). Division III transfer Owen Schmitt developed into a punishing fullback who played with such ferocity that he routinely caved in his facemask. Ask quarterback Pat White how much he owes to Barwis for his speed (and Heisman candidacy).
"Everybody gets stronger in our program," Barwis said. "Everybody always gets faster in our program."

Don't you guys need permission to play now ever since U of FL owned you?

I'm all for a good OSU-Mich game. Michigan won't win this year; maybe not for another 2-3 years until they get their new offensive system all worked out.
Prediction: 37-14, OSU domination
The Big Suck is a joke, what conference does not have a conference championship and automatically gets a bid for the BCS Championship game. Hopefully "The" Ohio State University will not get another chance this year after getting blown out by SEC schools two years in a row, if they do, it will be against a different SEC school, probably Georgia which will have the same results...SEC dominance.
As a Gator, Im stoked to be playing Miami this year after our embarrasing losses to them under Zook a few years ago.

I don't know where that poll came from that started this thread but to not include Florida and put LSU at the top makes me think it's from last year. LSU lost a ton of talent and has several big questions to answer.
Georgia is a respectable Top 5 pick. I think Auburn is a Top 10 team this year. Coaches have them at 11 but I don't think that's accurate.
The Big 12 has a somewhat tarnished reputation IMHO after these last few years of OU getting skunked in Bowls, and Texas finishing below expectations.

Interesting analysis. I however think the Luckeyes will pick there spots to blitz, specially during the first quarter to test the M's OL and the QB. I wouldn’t blitz like crazy against the spread offense. That offense is best working in space and blitzes creates lots of space. Key here will if the OS DL can create pressure on there own. Remember, most of the time no TE help to OTs, just the RBs to help. Also, look for the RBs / LBs mach up coming out of the backfield.

Eh....depends on your teams speed, as to what blitz packages you will run. If the secondary of OSU is fast. Look for them to blitz from the corners with a couple X stunts with the DL and LB's. Also look for those big DE's of OSU to try to create problems in the back field.
OSU's main problem, is they will be over confident.
Easy way to stop the blitz from the LB's, RB Screen in the middle, TE stop and go, quick pitch to the full back on a toss sweep. Once the LB's commit to the ball.....its over. IF the QB can read the feet and not the eye's of the LB's they will pick apart the OSU Secondary D.
**If he's up on his toes, he's going to blitz, or come hard to the line.
**If he's light on his heels, kinda waiting for a pass....hit them with a run and gain 3 or 4 yards....remember 3 4 yard gains is a 1st down, keep the chains moving.
Corner blitz will be a tad bit harder to pick up. Most corners like the elemnt of surprise, and most have the speed to get into the backfield from the outside. Thats were the quick screens come in handy. Snap, toss to the WR on the blitz side and down the side line for a race.
Now...MI's D...has got to account for experience on the OL. They will have to hit the OL and push, everything into the backfield to disrupt the play. Screws to Screws the MI DL has got to knock heads, and let the LB and secondary personel worry about the ball. As we all know...OSU is a power side, power play football team. STOP the strong side surge, blitz with a weak side LB or DE, come down the line of scrimmage and stop the play from the backside. If the strong side LB and CB's attempt to stop the pulling OL and HB/FB/RB...its going to be a long night for MI's defense. If MI's DT can push the OG or OT into the backfield just a little bit...it will force the play to bump wider and further outside, giving a fast DE or LB from the weak side time to catch it and stop it.
**As long as he runs the line of scrimmage and takes a great angle of approach. If not...1 or 2 stops and MI will get hit with a reverse for a TD giving OSU all the momentum they need.

Love this kind of analysis.
Corner blitzes are problematic because of the ground they have to cover to get to the QB, unless they send the slot CBs. Concur with everything else and I add to keep in mind that the team that controls the line of skirmish wins the game.
But first things first....Utah at The Big House
GO BLUE!
Counsel...I agree. I coach youth football and rarely corner blitz due to the time that is needed to reach the QB. We mostly end/ tackle twist and LB/ Tackle trapdoor in hopes of jamming the OL back into the QB and running backs. I have a mean little Noseguard that will eat most Center's lunch......
As much as I love my Sooners, I have to, I unfortunately live in Norman, #4 is a bit high. OU has had issues with players screwing up before at the start of the season.

I don't think Michigan's OL can hang with ND's front seven, so they will not be able to run the ball, and with young, inexperienced QB play, throwing will be tough as well. Clausen is better than last season. ND wins at home 20-10.
USC has a D just as good as Ohio State, plus an offense that can light up the score board. If Beanie Wells does not play the game of his life (doubtful) USC wins this big.
Counsel, where are you???
Notre Dame is kicking your rivalry ass bad. This is a huge rivalry and you elect to avoid this forum? Typical.
Typical of Michigan fairweather fans - talk smack until the team gets their asses handed to them.
We beat your fooking behinds. Badly. Michigan SUX!

Whoa whoa whoa, TR. Maybe you don't read this forum but I have taken boat loads of crap from Counsel. I don't like being classless and I certainly have better temperment than what I posted, but Counsel and a few others like to take my nose and rub it in Notre Dame losses. That comes with the territory of being a Notre Dame fan.
But if you're going to single me out for it so be it. Fair enough.

Read my post regarding USC vs Ohio State. I called USC winning big. Long season? Maybe Penn State should schedule USC @ L A. We looked like complete crap, but then again Penn State couldn't keep up with us much like we couldn't keep up with USC. We are who we are. A poor leader of a bad Big Ten. When your team is ready maybe they can lead the Big Ten.
And pedestrian Michigan? That is a huge rivalry for ND/Michigan. I don't care what the records are. Your team doesn't have a big rivalry so you don't understand.
As I said to TR, I took boat loads of smack last season when ND got their asses handed to them game after game. So what if Michigan is "pedestrian?" Who has PSU beaten?
It didn't seemed to matter last season when ND got beat by an underachieving Michigan team who was also pedestrian. Never thought I'd see the day when a PSU fan makes excuses for a Michigan team.

Ok kitty, put the claws away LOL! We just beat Oregon State last week who, as Mr. Harsey will proclaim, is not chicken feed. I love busting your chops about ND because your fans are quite the haughty bunch! PSU has an in state rivalry with Pitt (who we do not play much since we entered the big ten), with your team, and since arriving in the big ten have established what I would consider a decent rivalry with both Michigan and OSU! Every school plays cupcakes every season including your beloved golden domers. In the past PSU has scheduled plenty of tough early games: Nebraska, Alabama, Texas, Texas Tech, etc.
Excuses for Michigan? BWAAAHA! I am merely observing that this is a rebuilding year with a new coach who, as ND exposed, is woefully ill prepared for a big ten schedule.
With warm regards from a proud Nittany Lion fan...:p

I was at the game. There was an impressive turnout by Ohio State fans, but they sure were talking a lot of smack for fans of a team that has been creamed every time they played a good team from a real conference. They didn't talk so much after the game, though. :D
Did anyone see what BYU did to UCLA? That 59-0 shellacking was almost better than the USC win for us . . .
I think Michigan will be good again eventually, but right now I don't know why anyone would get excited about beating them. Frankly the entire Big 10 and the entire midwest is devoid of decent football teams. Their best players go to Florida and USC. :boohoo

Sorry for my absence but during the last couple of weeks I have been in between jobs. But I am definitely back defending good against evil! (read Michigan vs Ohio State)
"I don't think Michigan's OL can hang with ND's front seven, so they will not be able to run the ball, and with young, inexperienced QB play, throwing will be tough as well." ...how wrong were you in this point JMI?

Still, I have to say I don't like the shotgun spread but it appears its here to stay. Michigan’s offense is getting better but they have to minimize the turnovers plus the defense can't give up the big play. They don't have the pass rush they used to have so that means the Safety’s must play deep and keep everything in front.
Next comes Wisconsin...it will be interesting to say the least.
Hey JMI...I have a feeling the Beanie Wells is going to be out for the better part of the season. If that is true...take a chair my friend because its going to be a long season.

You have a feeling? Hope is not a method, son. He almost played Saturday, so keep on hoping.
Your team lost pretty big to a team that won 3 games last season. It's called scoreboard, no matter how many stats you post. :boohoo
I think Michigan will be good again eventually, but right now I don't know why anyone would get excited about beating them.
We're coming off a season where we won 3 games, Michigan is an arch rival, and Michigan fans and Notre Dame fans talk smack - that is why it is called a rivalry. Next to Ohio State and Notre Dame, my favorite team is whoever plays Michigan.
And the Big Ten is weak, I admit that. But head to head in bowl games the last few season, we're tied with the SEC 9-9, so they're not that far behind.
These kinds of things swing back and forth all the time with "who's the strongest conference." Right now it is the SEC. Certainly a case can be made for the PAC-10. But things are evening out when a team like ECU can beat West Virginia and Virginia Tech, or an Oregon or Stanford and beat USC.
Hope is not a method, son. He almost played Saturday, so keep on hoping.

Okay I'll open a can of worms here and break it down like this.....in the past 10 years of BCS championship teams.....
SEC: 1998,2003,2006,2007 (TN, LSU, Florida, LSU)
ACC: 1999 (FL State)
Big 12: 2000, 2005 (OK St, Texas)
Big East: 2001 (Miami which is now ACC)

1. USC (61) 2-0 1,596

LOL, yes, USC has lost some games. But I think you're engaging in a bit of revisionist history here.
First of all, if you look at USC's entire schedule for the last 10 years, you'll see that it was significantly tougher than Ohio State's. Playing one relatively weak out-of-conference opponent does not mean the schedule is weak. But playing three does.
Second, the losses you're talking about, while certainly regrettable and frustrating for USC fans, were all close games. Oregon was ranked very high at points during that season (recall that Dennis Dixon was a Heisman candidate). Oregon State was not a bad team either -- Dennis Erickson was the coach IIRC. UCLA is a rivalry game. And USC's loss to Texas in the national championship game came down to the very end of the game. I was there, and it was one of the greatest games I've ever seen. While the loss sucked, Texas had a great team and Vince Young was unstoppable that day.
The fact remains that Ohio State got blown out in the games I mentioned above, and it got blown out by USC a couple of weeks ago. So call USC a choker all you want, but the score was 35-3 and Ohio State doesn't look like it's going to a major bowl this year.
First of all, if you look at USC's entire schedule for the last 10 years, you'll see that it was significantly tougher than Ohio State's. r.

You and I know that did not help your cause, RL. What, you think this long list of games proved your point?
Take a close look at this list and tell me where your non-conference trumps Ohio State.
Nice try.
in keeping the "Tradition" of this college football thread alive, am going to defer to the below quote.
Unbelievable. Your quoting TR? In the middle of the season? Oh man, I am not sure if that is legal. That is almost cheating.
Here is a hint: College Football is not as long as - say Baseball or Hockey - so when the fun starts try not to let it pass you by.
RL doesn't know me. All he knows is I am a rabid Notre Dame fan. When you find something personal being slung let me know.

JMI, Ohio State has played three out-of-conference games in eight years against traditional national power teams -- twice against Texas and once against USC. USC plays Notre Dame every year, plus it schedules games against other traditional powers. In the last 8 years, it also played Penn State, Auburn (twice), Nebraska (twice) and Ohio State.
I think you know that these games are scheduled years in advance, so you can't fault a school for scheduling a team expected to be good which then had a bad year during the season they played. Kansas State, Virginia Tech and Colorado were very good teams when USC agreed to play them. Washington State, on the other hand, was terrible when Ohio State scheduled them and then happened to have a good year when they played. (I would say the same about USC scheduling Arkansas.)
I'm not really interested in arguing about this any further, but I don't see how you can claim that Ohio State's out-of-conference scheduling has been impressive in any way. I give them credit for playing Texas and USC, but on balance their schedule has been cupcake after cupcake.
I'm sorry. My apologies to TR:

Am liking Our guys attitudes this year...Bradford is leading with humility, which is a good thing for this years crop.
http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/092708aaa.html
Bradford, Manny Johnson have career nights as Oklahoma rolls at Owen Field.
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Ask Sam Bradford about his big numbers or Oklahoma's potential to sit atop the college football rankings, and he'll tell you exactly what all that means to him.
''Absolutely nothing,'' Bradford said. ''We've still got a long way to go before we even think about where we're ranked in the polls. Right now, they pretty much don't mean anything.''
If this week proved anything, it certainly showed that Bradford's opinion is spot on. The second-ranked Sooners (4-0) were the only team in the top four that emerged unblemished, beating No. 24 TCU 35-10 Saturday night behind his career-best 411 yards passing and three long touchdown catches by Manuel Johnson .
With top-ranked Southern California, No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Florida all losing, Oklahoma (4-0) made as strong a case as anyone to get back to No. 1 for the first time since it lost to Kansas State in the 2003 Big 12 championship game.
''It's a good thing, definitely a good thing, but we won't look at it,'' said cornerback Brian Jackson , who had his first interception of the season among the Sooners' four takeaways. ''The rankings don't mean anything until the end of the season.''

I asked those far smarter than me this very question. Their response was basically, "To watch OU fall in the ranks."
Even though we beat Baylor today, we have Texas, and a whole bunch of other "ranked" teams to beat. If we lose even one game we will not be playing for, "The Nat'l Championship."
But the chill is in the air, the popcorn is buttered, and the cheerleaders are doing their best to look Hot! :D

Though we lost the game, ( as well as any hope for the NC,) it was one helluva game, as most OU/UT matches are...always a toss up.
Was impressed with our no-huddle offense, and their balls to the wall attack on first downs. Our D started out fierce...but seemed to lose momentum by the second-half, which is where McCoy took a great deal of advantage...rightly so.

The UT recruiters told Chase and his family he was not going to get any better in college, he was already fully mature in high school. they then proceeded to sign Ryan Perilloux, who promised Texas he would win 4 Heisman and NC's. Perilloux soon backed out on UT, went to LSU. The UT coaches then approached Chase and offered to give him a chance anyway. Chase informed them he had given his word to MU and wouldn't break it. Plus he liked MU. At least, this is the story from family members. Perilloux got booted from the team at LSU last winter.

With the way this season has progressed and several teams "#1" teams falling from the unbeaten ranks does any one else out there think the BCS division should have a playoff system?
Why not take the top three teams in each Div 1-A conference and watch them beat each other up? Plenty of money to go around for the schools, TV, Conferences and sponsors.

With as many bowl games as there are now it is pretty close to that...you just have to expand upon it and actually put together the winners somehow.
Problem with pulling the top 3 from each conference is that not all conferences are built alike....Would you limit the Big-12 or SEC to only 3 teams and then have 3 Big East or WAC teams??
Ret10Echo,
I see your point. Maybe the top one/two teams and then an at large bid determined by some sort of computer gee whiz math formula/poll? Also not all conferences have a championship game which adds to the toll lots of games place on the body. Not to mention that the student athletes have finals for which they need to prepare.;)
What about a cross regional pairing that takes the top eight teams in one region up against the other? You expand the weekly rankings 1-32. Midwest vs South and East vs West? Mix that up every year. Rank them 1-8 and play the games like basketball does for March Madness?
Ret10Echo

I think the only real way to get it put together is to come up with some sort of statistical analysis.....Team production in various categories in comparison to opponents...throw it all into the pile. Multiply that by some rating factor based upon the overall conference level-of-play.
There does need to be some sort of regional application since you could end up with all the teams in the "tournament" coming from a couple of conferences only.
Probably take the selected teams and work them through the Bowl series as it stands (sort of) but the issue of adding another several games and preparation time would be problematic. The cash income for the schools would be pretty good. Not sure about how the other bowl games would suffer if the focus would shift to a better championship type series.

We must beat the Citadel, then destroy Florida State, and beat Bama for a shot at the National Championship. Good thing the Big Suck is no where near it this year, there may actually be a good game this year. But them Big 12 teams have no defense!

Yes it was! That team is on a roll right now. I don't think either of our previous National Championship teams have looked this good. I was extremely concerned before the first game with the 3 season ending ACL injuries that they took, but this team is deep enough to overcome it. UF has become a MegaProgram now... if only baseball can get on track ;)

Why is everyone so BIG again on USC? ESPN had an article yesterday that made the point of saying that anyone who plays USC in the BCS Championship game would be an underdog. WTF? Am I missing something here? USC is currently 6th. If they are so much better, why aren't they ranked higher?
Wait and watch to see if Pete Carol lobby's his way into another title game.

2006:
USC 50, Arkansas 14
USC 28, Nebraska 10
USC 44, Notre Dame 24
USC 32, Michigan 18 (Rose Bowl)
2005:
USC 70, Arkansas 17
USC 34, Notre Dame 31
Texas 41, USC 38 (Rose Bowl/BCS Championship) (can't win 'em all)
2004:
USC 24, Virginia Tech 13
USC 49, Colorado State 0
USC 41, Notre Dame 10
USC 55, Oklahoma 19 (Orange Bowl/BCS Championship)
2003:
USC 23, Auburn 0
USC 45, Notre Dame 14
USC 28, Michigan 14 (Rose Bowl)
2002:
USC 24, Auburn 17
USC 40, Colorado 3
Kansas St. 27, USC 20 (can't win 'em all)
USC 44, Notre Dame 13
USC 38, Iowa 17 (Orange Bowl)
1) Alabama
2) Florida
3) Texas
4) Oklahoma
5) USC
I am not sure who plays who ( I know Alabama and Florida play for the SEC) but I do know USC is loaded with talent and can beat any of these top 5.

I would'nt be too happy, with the way Alabama and Florida are playing, Oklahoma has no chance, that's if they beat Mizzou...
Go Gators!

OU Wins Third Straight Big 12 Title
Sooners carve up Missouri, 62-21, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- By the time Mossis Madu sprinted into the end zone in a half-empty stadium, Oklahoma was done making its point.
Here's what Sam Bradford and the high-scoring Sooners wanted to drive home: They belong in the BCS championship game.
The No. 4 Sooners did that with a 62-21 blowout of No. 19 Missouri for the Big 12 title Saturday night.
Taking advantage of an opportunity many felt it didn't deserve, the highest-scoring team in major college football history romped to a third straight conference crown and became the first to reach 60 points in five consecutive games in 89 years.
Boomer Sooner! (and good job to the gators as well!):)

This is by far the lamest mess I have seen the BCS produce how the (*&%%^& did MIZZOU play OU for Big 12 ? I think UT and OU should have played for it, I don't know if it's the good ol boy system at work or what. I think OU is a excellent team but the didn't even have to work for that big 12 title. Like I said....LAME !
Florida vs Oklahoma should be one hell of a good game. :lifter The Southern Cal vs Penn State 'Rosebowl' should be a good one, too. :)

I dont know if you are being serious or not, so let me help you.
Missouri were the North Division champs, and Oklahoma become the South division champs thanks to the BCS rankings. The Big 12 only have themselves to blame for allowing an outside polling system dictate which teams are to play in their championship game if there were a tie, in which there was. So, the best team from each division in the conference played for the conference championship. It may not always be the best teams in the conference as a whole, but the best teams in their division.
I liked it better back when we (OU) were in the "Big 8" and the Horns were in the old SWC.

So true Sir, a lot less trash talking...well, maybe.:munchin
In any case, no other team can claim the scoring stats that "we" did this season.
Still, am crossing fingers and toes as the Gators will be a good advisary.:lifter

Actually, with a tear in my eye. But there's no crying in football.
"De la esperanza vive el hombre." A rough translation to English would be... A man can live on hope.
GO BLUE! ...next year...you better R. Rodriguez!!!!
Say what you will...Texas 45- OU 35...Just the best team on that day.
Im not going to hate on OU because they deserve to be in the National Championship game: OU 41- FL 38

My question is what is Holly going to wager on the game?:munchin;):D
Florida over OU... 33-21
Texas over OS... 28-13
Of course, these are subject to change as game time comes closer, but for today there you have them. :munchin
