Damn shame. . . Dave was a buddy of mine in the course and we went through phase II together. Never mind the problem, the weather, the suck or anything, Dave did his job and always found time to help his teammates. He was a devoted Dad and Husband, an honorable man, and my friend. RIP Dave.

I know this is a little late, but I haven't been on the site in a while and came accross this thread... :(

I worked with Dave both during PMT and Iraq. He was an outstanding man all around. I can't say it any better. The SF community and his family lost a wonderful leader and father.

I remember seeing him over at the AOB one day sweating his ass off helping the mechanics we had get a truck together for a mission, and just seeing him laugh and joke while getting this truck together in no shade in the middle of June and just thinking "this dude is nutts!!!" lol

RIP Dave

As much as I knew him, he was the guy that anyone would be lucky to have on their team. I last ran into him the day before he left us, in the chow hall. He was wearing his civilians as usual with his side arm, always looking confident and professional as usual. Just one nod to each other was all that was needed as acknowledgment, as we knew what we did every night outside the wire. I was on a different team, but I can account it really hit home for me and everyone on my team. You will not be forgotten.
