Not to piss in anyones corn flakes, but this radio is junk compared to our current 13xF radio. I keep my ear pretty close to the ground, and maintain a direct link to Joe Ad---. I have not heard anything about this 'new' paper weight. Does anyone listen to guys on teams? Where does this crap come from?

Where does this crap come from?

It comes from the same folks who think that they have the universal answer for everyone's comms. I can remember having to have my commo folks educate folks at echelons above the F1 layer about the need to retain an analog capability to allow teams to manually load and twek an antenna for specific indoor requirements in urban settings for HF CW transmit sites. You would have thought that I had set their technological brain housing groups on fire.:D
