All,
Fort Bragg will host the 2008 Summer Combtives Event on 26 July from 0900-UTC at Ritz-Epps Gym on post. Registration and weigh-ins will be held on 25 July from 0900-1500.
The event will utilize standard Modern Army Combatives Rules, with intermediate Rules being used for the finals. The event is open to ALL current military.
This is the last event I will be running as the NCOIC of the program here at Fort Bragg. I have certified a good deal of members of this board over the past 2 years, and I have been promising an event like this for a while.
It will be a good event, whether you want to look at the tournament as a small part of training for the ultimate goal of the battlefield, as just a sport competition, or even just a way to get in some "live PT".
