It's sad that you hardly even hear about what our troops are doing over seas. I guess since the media assumes that the War doesn't make for good news any more that they think it's okay to ignore soldiers like PO2 (EOD2) Monsoor.

I guess they forgot that it is brave and loyal soldiers like PO2 Michael Monsoor, SPC. Ross McGinnis, CPL. Jason Dunham, and SFC. Paul Smith that die for the air they suck in while sitting in their luxury car on the way home from their 9-5. I don't know about anyone else, but there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about what our troops are doing over there for the air I breathe and the ground I walk on. How could you ignore the fact that right now at this moment someone is putting their life on the line while you sit at home, comfortable and as far away from danger as you could possibly be? Screw the media. Is it just me or does it seem like our country is forgetting the sacrifice our Military men and women are making?

R.I.P. PO2 (EOD2) Michael Monsoor and the rest of the men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Monsoor came thru BUDS while i was working there. Remember him as a easy going, great-potential SEAL student...and he did just that.

It appears those are Tridents on his casket. What is the significance of the display. I know the significance of the tridents, but do not know the significance of the display.

those are Tridents placed on Monsoor's casket...

The Trident is the USN badge earned by every BUDs student when they complete BUDs and are officially a qualified SEAL.
Fellow SEALs at the service removed their Tridents and placed them onto Monsoor's casket.
