"A poll in mid-March found that 13 per cent of Americans think that Mr Obama is a Muslim — a 5 per cent increase since December 2007. Another found that 23 per cent of Democrats who hold negative views of him believe that he is a Muslim. The same survey showed that 61 per cent of voters view him as patriotic, compared with 76 per cent for Mrs Clinton and 90 per cent for Mr McCain."

While he may not be muslim he was raised by a lunatic, attended a church service delivered by a tin-foil hat wearing racist for decades and if Obama was compared to President Hugo Chávez, Chávez would be the more patriotic American.:munchin

Obama's Not Exactly's

1.) Selma Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google 'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)

2.) My Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had.

4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Oba ma, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone.

Obama's cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter.. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started.

Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth.

5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn't allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.

6.) My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and 'Baraka' (from which Barack came) means 'blessed' in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro). From....and for more....go to.....

7.) I Never Practiced Islam - NOT EXACTLY, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office.
4-3-08 Article "Obama was 'quite religious in islam'" http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=60559

8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian - NOT EXACTLY, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book).

February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times a year ago: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset." This is just one example of what Pamela is talking about when she says "Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts."

9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - NOT EXACTLY, not one teacher says you could speak the language.

10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of

12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine.

13.)An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - NOT EXACTLY, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

14.) A Life Magazine Article Changed My Outlook On Life - NOT EXACTLY, Life has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

15.) I Won't Run On A National Ticket In '08 - NOT EXACTLY, here you are, despite saying, live on TV, that you would not have enough experience by then, and you are all about having experience first.

16.) Voting "Present" is Common In Illinois Senate - NOT EXACTLY, they are common for YOU, but not many others have 130 NO VOTES.

17.) Oops, I Misvoted - NOT EXACTLY, only when caught by church groups and Democrats, did you beg to change your misvote.

18.) I Was A Professor Of Law - NOT EXACTLY, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.

19.) I Was A Constitutional Lawyer - NOT EXACTLY, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.

20.) Without Me, There Would Be No Ethics Bill - NOT EXACTLY, you didn't write it, introduce it, change it, or create it.

21.) The Ethics Bill Was Hard To Pass - NOT EXACTLY, it took just 14 days from start to finish.

22.) I Wrote A Tough Nuclear Bill - NOT EXACTLY, your bill was rejected by your own party for its pandering and lack of all regulation - mainly because of your Nuclear donor, Exelon, from which David Axelrod came.

23.) I Have Released My State Records - NOT EXACTLY, as of March, 2008, state bills you sponsored or voted for have yet to be released, exposing all the special interests pork are still closed.

27.) I Passed 26 Of My Own Bills In One Year - NOT EXACTLY, they were not YOUR bills, but rather handed to you, after their creation by a fellow Senator, to assist you in a future bid for higher office.

28.) No One on my campaign contacted Canada about NAFTA - NOT EXACTLY, the Candian Government issued the names and a memo of the conversation your campaign had with them.

29.) I Am Tough On Terrorism - NOT EXACTLY, you missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and your good friend Ali Abunimah supports the destruction of Israel.

30.) I Want All Votes To Count - NOT EXACTLY, you said let the delegates decide.

31.) I Want Americans To Decide - NOT EXACTLY, you prefer caucuses that limit the vote, confuse the voters, force a public vote, and only operate during small windows of time.

32.) I passed 900 Bills in the State Senate - NOT EXACTLY, you passed 26, most of which you didn't write yourself.

33.) I Believe In Fairness, Not Tactics - NOT EXACTLY, you used tactics to eliminate Alice Palmer from running against you.

IMO, this is the worst nomination from either party, in the history of America. If Jeremiah Wright had come out in November versus late February, we'd not have this guy. The stars are aligning for this man. He's skating...

For you youngsters, Jimmy Carter almost destroyed our economy in four years. This guy BHO is trouble - A cocky liar.

For whatever it's worth, the nation is sick of old white guys.

We're in for a wild ride.

And does this surprise anyone?

No, it doesn't surprise people on this site; but yes it would probably surprise many. The awful truth is many Americans don't care - Obama makes them feel good. And, that's enough.

P.S. Thank you for the above post TR - It is a treasure trove.

If only "the nation" would learn more about this specific man:

http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18461

When it comes to choosing a president, the American people want to know more about a candidate than policy positions. They want to know about character, the values ingrained in his heart. For Mr. McCain, that means they will want to know more about him personally than he has been willing to reveal.

Mr. Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, "I told you I would make you a cripple." The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day's will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at "a goofy angle," as Mr. Day explained.Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn't heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day's splint in place.

Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complimented the treatment he'd gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

A team of internet goons loyal to Obama? That sounds redundant, the web is already overflowing with his rabid followers.

Personally, I think McCain should publicly admit he isn't an economics expert (no politician is), and tell voters he'll put together a panel of economists who really do know their field in order to help shape his policy.

He also needs to point out that Obama's socialistic policies will only wound the economy further (oil companies aren't the problem, and taking your anger out on them will not make commodities speculators change their tune).

My older daughter, who is quite liberal, cannot stand Obama for many of the reasons stated. She is also quite put out, as a long-time Hillary backer, not that he "beat" her, but as to how she and the former President (admittedly in his "bubba" role) were characterized by him, his campaign, and the MSM. While I will accuse the Clintons of being many things - racist is not one of them.

One of the things about Obama that I find most alarming is that while many politicians say things to get elected and then do other things in office (See: Clinton), I get the feeling this guy actually believes the pap he is peddling.

I think this is a very fair characterization from a liberal-minded individual. I've seen it myself from a few friends who were behind Hillary. HOWEVER, to a person - they are all forming a line behind Obama now despite their reservations. That, I find rather alarming. I really thought that McCain would have been able to pick up some of these votes because he's seen as so independent, but so far I haven't seen it.

Even though I dislike them, I consider Sen Kerry, Sen Kennedy, Pres Clinton all patriotic Americans.

I would not consider Barack Hussein Obama a patriotic American or even an American for that matter. And his wife! She seems to genuinely hate America.

I truly believe the American public has lost the ability to think for themselves.

When we talked at length the last time (two Sundays ago on the phone - she is in DC), she brought up what has been mentioned here, that he is Carter reincarnate. She cannot believe he gets away with being an "empty shirt". Nicely put TS. Thanks for the information in this thread. I knew that Obama was an extreme left wing dem, but not that extreme.

After hearing some of Rev Wrights speeches...it's hard for me to believe that Obama has never heard any anti-American speeches in that church. After reading about his ties to muslim areas....I wonder about his motives to become the leader of the free world.

The majority of the US has lost the ability to think. The majority of the country is in love with Obama, its like the IPhone fad, new Nike shoes fad....its a phase. I just hope people realize the trend before November.

Question for the news outlets. Why do they insist calling him African-American? I thought we were all Americans? Guess I can be German-Norwegian-Native American-Scottish-Irish-American?

According to reports, Obama's Kenyan father was mostly Arabic That would make the Democratic Presidential nominee Barak Obama, Jr. partially Arabic. Arab's DO NOT LIKE to be called Africans - As a people Arabs have great antipathy for black Africans.

Perhaps, it would be more accurate to call BHO an Arab-American. I would welcome anyone to correct this data if it is merely urban myth.

If we're going to start tagging folks with stickers, let's get the monikers right, okay?

I think to call someone a Prefix-American itself is racist. Race is not what I see in a person unless they push it in my face. I don't see bald people, fat people, short people, German people, Irish people, happy people, red people, black people - Until they want to be referred to as such. Why is it relevant? To me, color and creed is like size and eye color - So what? I'm a bald American - Okay, so what? He's a short American? What's the point? He's African American? Really? So, what do you want me to do? What are you selling? I'm more Irish than Obama is African or Arab, yet I don't want you to designate me anything but an American.

Do I care that an African American becomes President? Does it make me feel good? What?!!!! I could freaking care less. I don't feel anything - Should I? Why? If a far left socialist becomes President - Yes, I have some feelings and they are not good. If a messianic liar becomes President - Again, the feelings aren't good. If you try to associate my bad feelings with race, I really want to choke you - that "Do you still beat your wife?" insinuation drives me absolutely nuts.

Liberal racists are upsetting my non-racist world. If someone is angry, that's their problem, but once they punch me in the nose - They've made their anger my problem.

I can accept and endure anything that the liberals say - It's their blatant hypocrisy on the "gottcha race thing" that has me losing my composure.

I used to be just a happy guy. These racists are starting to make me feel like an angry middle-aged Irish American white guy. This is not good.

I was at a social-worker(y) seminar not to long ago and we were listening to a woman speaking on racial acceptance or somesuch something. She kept using the terms "African-American" for the black folks and "Euro-American" for the white folks in the room. It torqued me. I have a good friend who was born and raised in Zimbabwe (and holds the passport and everything) and is whiter than I am with flaming red hair and she clearly would have been labeled "Euro-American" by this woman.

I was wishing beyond wishing that she was in that room. That would have been good times.

People (liberals especially) only like applying labels when they fit their agenda. Obama is case in point. It's also why people like Condi Rice never get acknowledged for their color OR gender.

Snopes did a fact check on that article. There is quite a bit of misinformation contained in it.

Snopes is about to lose a lot of creditabilty on this one.....

jamber97, did you take the time to read the "sources" Snopes used?:munchin

What do you think about those "sources"?

Personally, I'm throwing the bullshit flag on this "Snopes" reply. I'll not be looking to snopes for anything else concerning the internet or urban legends.

... Why do they insist calling him African-American? I thought we were all Americans? Guess I can be German-Norwegian-Native American-Scottish-Irish-American?

Because it gives him leverage politically. I wish there was a means to honestly assess why people vote for him. I would venture to say over 50% of them do so because he represents the "black" community or they feel its time for a "black" president or they feel bad (for whatever reason) about slavery...

Speaking of DC, I was told today in the lobby of my hotel that I should vote for Obama in protest of what my ancestors did to enslave blacks. I quickly explained that I am a first generation AMERICAN (no hyphenation) and sympathy for Obama's plight can be found in the dictionary between shit and syphilis.

I didnt make any friends nor win any hearts or minds in the discussion, not that I was trying.

I believe very little that comes to me by way of an unsolicited email about a politician. I'm pretty familiar with viral campaigns via the internet and they all, regardless of political affiliation, tend not to past the smell test.

I give Snopes credit for at least trying to give sources, where as the 50 lies article does not.

...I give Snopes credit for at least trying to give sources, where as the 50 lies article does not.

I noticed that other than the 1960 issue of Time Magazine the rest of the sources appear to be newspaper writers.

The "quality" of campaign coverage on BHO by the MSM would be truely comical if it didn't have such a dangerous result. The press is not digging anything up - it only reluctantly reports after a few days - if it has to.

I wish Snopes would do an article correcting all the lies about President Bush, have yet to see that though.

Here is the page for President Bush.

Snopes did a fact check on that article. There is quite a bit of misinformation contained in it.

As noted by TS and Pete, Snopes lost a good deal of credibility on this one. First, the story's status is listed as "Multiple", but the article only focuses on what the author considers falsehoods. Second, the writing style and tone of the author seem terribly condescending. Lastly, many of the "sources" are of opinion-piece quality and in my mind not appropriate to use to "debunk" many of the accusations.

But, if you want to hang your opinion on something as overtly biased as that article, drive on with your bad self.

"But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law."
-Hebrews 5:14 (Amplified Bible)

The author of Hebrews (traditionally attributed to St. Paul) makes an interesting point:
The ability to distinguish good from evil (even as it pertains to human law) is developed by practice.

Liberals love moral relativism. It might as well be their religion.
They encourage a society where nobody makes any judgements about the behavior of anyone.
Moral absolutes are portrayed as vice rather than virtue.

Eventually, the majority of the electorate lacks the ability to make wise judgements concerning the character of their leaders.
