Any other towns out there participating in this looney tune activity or have all the village idiots decided to summer vacation in Vermont?

I can remember as a kid we attach playing cards to the wheel supports to make that distinctive thwacking sound as the spokes hit them. Judging from the pictures of last years participants I would suspect that a more muffled thwacking sound might be heard followed by sharp cries of pain. But then you never know, marijuana possession and use has been down graded to almost a freebie in this state so perhaps they will have taken steps to control the mishaps.

Mother nature might intervene here also, more to quicken the event than to prolong it. It is the beginning of black fly season and if they take the route that they have planned you might see something akin to one of the early morning summer road marches in the Q where medics are standing by to pop IVs for those who drop because of loss of fluids. Of course with some of these folks who prefer alternate life styles and obtain "nutrients" thru chemical advances a few might already have shunts to preclude loss of time trying to find a vein.:D

Very unlikely here in the Shen Valley. I wonder, do they use standard seats, or are the modified for the naked ride?

We used to use baseball cards clipped on with clothes pins. I cringe at the thought of the price some of those cards would bring today; ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!

And I can honestly say: that must hurt.

I have a very active imagination.
