To All,
I need to power a PRC126 without a BA5588 battery ? I used the search function and did not find any results. Goggled it and found many resourses but no luck. One website mentions a 10 AA battery adapter but it looks kind of fugazy. Any thoughts or insights into this matter will be appreciated.

The PRC 68 uses the same battery.
This looks like what you are looking for.

I used the AA adapter in the past. Battery life is quite short. I would carry a lot of spares.
If using the KYV-2A then it becomes a bit more dismal.
May be able to take that adapter and apply a better source provided it meets Voltage and Amp requirements.

I agree that the life is short compared to the normal battery. There are a lot of battery packs out there that could be adapted to the adaptor.

I don't know the PRC126. I last carried the AN/PRC-77 in Alaska. (with backup for everything except the radio it self)
good luck, cc

Two possible options...
1) Post an Intro in the proper place
2) Dont post an intro in the proper place thus insuring the attention of a Mod or Admin.
Your next post should be that Intro; DO NOT post again until that is complete.

I grow weary of new members who do not bother to read the registration message we send them, or the rules, or the stickies, before jumping in with both feet.
It would appear that Darwin lives.

Surgicalcric, The Reaper... my error.
