View Full Version : Motivational Posters, an album
I have been fascinated by the Motivational Posters for years. I started to collect a separate file of those that pertain to the military and a couple political.
I read where TS had posted a new one he found earlier in the month.
Thought I would share my album.
I picked Rucksack Wisdom over Comedy Zone,, seemed the better of the two.

ROFL Those are good. The Marine in your soulmate poster is a funny guy I knew him years ago and have no doubt that he loved that animal like no other man could. :).
My personal favorite is the very last about training and it is O so true.
Thanks, those were great!

Yeah, I've always enjoyed reading some of the motivational posters that are out there. But then, there is also the flip side of things, the "Demotivational Posters" and those can be pretty funny as well. :) Here's some for any that may be interested.

One of my favorite sites... :D
Some good ones in there! I was never a particularly big fan of the Motivatoinal posters, although I thought it was neat that someone (public affairs? I actually have no idea) used to go around Bragg snapping pictures of soldiers training and using them to make posters. I was standing in Womack for some reason or another and happened to notice one of a sniper with his spotter, forgot the theme, and the sniper was an old battlebuddy of mine from basic.
Now, the DE-Motivational posters... I can't get enough of them :D My cache is enormous.

We used to have them - the Hi-Standard HDM had its uses. You should do some reading on the subject.

That made me laugh, I think I have been in that situation just as sewing machine limbs begin to really make things interesting. I guess I am still optimistic, but yes, the things we get into sometimes

I've got this picture hanging up on my desk.
By the way I'm an instructor with the SF mountain course. :D
I like this one - it's the Rockies but reminds me of the Steinbocks we'd encounter between Bad Reichenhall and Tölz.

Good stuff I can smell the air. Richard thank you for mentioning that as I have been wondering what the differences between the goats were. I once lived in a place that used this crest to identify itself, Arosa, Graubunden Canton.
Max Tab, that sounds like a great job!

The gear looks right, where is the weapons case, strapped to his side, with an M-14 inside ? :lifter
Remember these days?..........;)
Note the cover of the JM immediately behind the jumper and by looking at the USMCR stenciling on the sleeping bag attached to the ALICE rucksack and MC1-1 parachute harness, 4 color camies and helmet cover (no helmet band), nylon LCE gear - I'd place this as a Marine jump sometime in the mid 70's.
He kinda looks like a young Oliver Hardy - which confirms the Marine scenario...

Cool pic.
Funny, I've been retired since 2004 but when I saw your pic my mind immediately started running thru my JMPI sequence on the gear.
I wasn't sure whether to post this in "The Gourmet Guerrilla" or here, so I chose the latter :D
Been a while,, figured I throw up some 2nd Amendment posters..

Saturday Morning Missives..
"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. "
God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
