Bull Simons' old bird.
Great memories there.
Hope it goes to a good museum. Make a nice addition to the ASOM.

Great piece of history !
During a recent visit to Fayetteville, me and two of my friends had the chance to visit the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Museum and we saw the exhibit of the Son Tay raid as well.
What the article didnt report was, that in 2005 (?) this bird moved troops from Iraq to H.O.A. And, among its passengers was the last active duty serving Army member of Task Force Ivory Coast. This member of the Raid is still serving albeit in a NG capacity.

Looks like the AF Museum in Dayton will be getting it. Looks like I'll be planning a road trip; been a while since I was there.
