not exactly an intro, but an update

I felt I owed you all an explanation for why i haven't been on in a while well here goes on January 26 of 2007 while serving with 2 battalion 12 Infantry Regiment in Baghdad I was shot in the head by a insugent sniper. I've been through alot of therapy I had to relearn to walk. talk, read, write, and feed myself all over again it sucked but the though of getting back to combat with my brothers help me that much to keep me from giving up! , but i'm am all better if you want to know more here are some links

For someone who had to start all over again your doing pretty good. Here's hoping you make a full recovery. Glad to hear you're still maintaining a positive attitude and want to get back into the fight. Take your time and make sure you have all the cognitive processes working properly before you go back to combat because you don't need to give them a better chance to get you next time. Plenty of cannon fodder that hasn't had a chance to get into the fight yet so let them go play while you get some rest and continue to recover. To many guys try to get back into the fight before they're ready to take care of themselves and someone else has to take on additional responsibility to ensure both of you make it back safely. You've got the rest of your life to recover so use it . Take Care, and use the second chance you got to enjoy life.

at the same time, make sure to thank mom for her support! every minute she watches her baby pull himself together must be the most wrenching minutes of her life.

Welcome back, I worked Physical Therapy at Ft Campbell, Ky. I worked with many troopers, wounded or broken. Two stand out in particular, one took over a year and a half. He took one through the right shoulder blade that exited out of his Brachial Plexus . A surgeon in Iraq would not allow the other Docs to take his arm off, and she reattached and mended what she could. He went to Walter Reed for a while then to us at Campbell. Occupational Therapy suggested to him that he have that arm removed so they could get him fitted with a prosthetic arm. He had nothing in that arm. I work range of motion to keep the joint functional, after about two months I noticed what we call "trace" in a tendon in his Biceps insertion at elbow. I told him to let everyone know that he would NOT HAVE HIS ARM REMOVED. He and I worked fooe about 17 months and he regain every thing in that arm and has been redeployed three times. Last to return was hi double tap.
So don't be discouraged it may take some time, Stick with it. wish I were 20 again, Blitz
