Not sure if these have been posted before (difficult to search for such things) but here is a short documentary on SF in Vietnam.

Would be interested in thoughts from those who where there.

I don't believe that those have been posted before. They are very accurate. I've spent many hours in Stabo Rigs!! Those must have been filmed either down south or close to the coast because all that we could get onto our Hueys was four of us. My Team took a flight of at least 9 Slicks for a normal insertion!!

The Cable Ladders were a trip also!! They were using the old method, with someone holding the bottom, we went up and down them on the sides, straddling the edge of the ladder. You could move much faster that way and you were very close to a cable that you could "snap into"!!

Most of that was real old footage, did you notice the BARs!!

At about 5:26 into the third one, the guy with the Boonie Hat looks like Fred Zabitoski!!

Thanks for the links.

Take care.

Thanks for posting those links.... great videos. Brought back a lot of memories. Looks like a lot of them were shot around recondo school in 69 or later because of the strabo rigs. Didn't start using them in CCN until late 69.
