I was wondering if there were any members on here who knew anybody from the O.S.S. 101 Special forces Group that served in Indo-China and Burma during World War II.
If I should not have posted this thread I do apologize and it will not happen again.

My father was in that unit.
I knew Carl Eifler (RIP) who commanded Det 101. BTW it wasn't an SF group yet.

After reading this, Frostyhunter, you should be beaming with pride!:lifter
Colonel Eifler obtained a PhD in Psychology after leaving the Army.
In the 1970-1980s he retired to Salinas, California and used to attend the Monterey Bay Area Tactical Response Unit (SWAT) meetings, occasionally as an Advisor to our Hostage Negotiations Teams.

You can contact these ffolkes and they may be able to put you in touch with someone who knew your father. I'm on their e-mail list and they get involved in some pretty interesting historical discussions and help families locate people who served with relatives.
