IMHO, General McPeak is an idiot and a jackass.
Just my .02, YMMV.

Who stands where?

It's clear to me and I'll be sure to vote for dog catcher on up the list come November.
Seems that there's a mad dash to preemptively surrender, before we screw up and win this war. PETE is right, a clear cut candidate with a good set of testes would make voting a lot easier.

I guess he figures that being a "retired General" gives him the right to call the CinC by his first name...
Mrs. Clinton has the backing of two dozen flag officers. "She knows and respects our armed forces," said Lee Feinstein, her campaign's national security director. "She is the person in this race who is most qualified to be commander in chief."
Is this the same Mrs. Clinton who did not want military uniforms in the White House? Sounds like she pick a real winner. It's reassuring to know he's her national security director.
Some additional wisdom from Mr. Lee Feinstein www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=4499
Statement from Lee Feinstein, Clinton Campaign National Security Director
"The new declassified key judgments of the Iran NIE expose the latest effort by the Bush administration to distort intelligence to pursue its ideological ends. The assessment of the NIE vindicates the policy Senator Clinton will pursue as President: vigorous American-led diplomacy, close international cooperation, and effective economic pressure, with the prospect of carefully calibrated incentives if Iran addresses our concerns. Neither saber rattling nor unconditional meetings with Ahmadinejad will stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. Senator Clinton has the strength and experience to conduct the kind of vigorous diplomacy needed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons."
She has the strength and experience? I'm not sure what strength or experience he's referring to. We need to check on the village because the idiot is running loose.

I concur completely, and if you ask 95% of the AF who knew him or of him would agree.
Let's see, McPeak endorses Obama, and Wesley Clarke endorses Clinton. Who to chose, who to chose....
Oh I know, neither, and the endorsements of these "fine upstanding" (note sarcasm) officers just goes to prove that point.
Anyone who served under Mcpeak knows that his only accomplishment was getting us all in spiffy new uniforms so that we looked like bus drivers!!!
