Pretty sure this is a "gun-free" zone.

"We're very sad about it," a clearly shaken Mayor Edward Zabrocki said from the scene. "It's ... we're a victim of our society that we live in."
The mayor's "victim" attitude is part of the problem.
How many lives will it take? :(

Yes it's a "gun-free" zone. How many? One is too many...but alas IL doesn't get it, like many other states.

IMHO "Gun Free Zones" are are hunting grounds for the "Suspect" and other criminal repeat offenders, NEVER go into a "Gun Free Zone" without protection.It is better to have your attorney explain why you defended your life in spite of the sign that forbids lawful CCW. Be Prepared, Better Safe than Sorry. Regards,TK
The more these Shooters are gunned down in places where people carry. IE... recent Church and Mall shootings. The more they will seek out these Gun free Zones.
I am working in DC now. Even thou it's a Gun free zone I would bet there a lot of people carrying. Seems everyone here is some kind of Federal Agent or other.

I couldn't agree more. " Gun Free Zone" is, I guess, a wonderful idea. Trouble is the "Zone" will be violated as are speed limits; just a lot harder to detect.

The "Gun Free" sign is as effective as the "Drug Free" sign and the all-powerful "Yellow line painted on the pavement". :eek:
