Army Wooden Shadow Chest/Locker

Im actually not looking to sell this, but donate it. I hope this is the right place.

Its a wooden Shadow Chest. Appears to be made of Solid wood, not MDF or plywood. Has an Army Medallion on the top, but it could easily be popped out and something else put there, lockable as you can see in the picture. Felt lined Top tray for ribbons/medals, and is removable. Felt lined area for storage underneath top tray.


I'm not sure of a proper way to ask this, but maybe someone knows of a family with a fallen/injured soldier that they would like this to go to.

The only thing i ask is that you cover shipping charges.

If you cannot find a family to donate it to an auction for it with proceeds going towards a charity such as the Special Operations Warrior Foundation could be organized.

I actually have another of these. But it received a little damage during previous shipping. No actual damage to the wood, just the mitered joints on the lid came unconnected. Anyone with a little wood working joint knowledge should be able to fix it. Once this ones taken care of ill post it up and see if anyone is interested. Thanks again.

Here is the damaged one. I think it just got bumped, and the joints they used werent strong enough to hold them together because of the spring assembly in the hinge, its got some good pressure on it when the lid is closed.

Reaper I could not find anything info on these. Not even a Made in ------ sticker anywhere. The instruction sheet for mounting the medals doesn't give me any info, and Google was no help as well. I bought them at a freight recovery auction, but they wouldn't tell me who they got them from.

Easilly repaired by any competent woodworker. They appear to be nice pieces. I'm sure whichever worthy cause will appreciate your generosity.
