Today, 116 of us walked across the stage & got our diplomas and knives. Glad it is finally finished and now can I get to my team and start working.

For you BTDTs, I appreciate the advice you dispense to guys like me. For you wannabees, good luck.

Congrats.

If you can impart some current information on your specific NG problems (if any) in your state and group in the 20th Group section, I'd appreciate it.

Congrats to all the fellow graduates today. It will truly be a day that I am sure we will always remember. I also echo ExSquids sentiments...The guidance and mentoring of those who came before us is something that we should all search out and take full advantage of in our careers. Without these Warriors and their wisdom the ranks of the Regiment would fall thin. Thanks to all and I look forward to my calling.

Oh and Mr. H...Love the handy work sir!

I am certain there is no mentoring going on on ProfessioanlSoldiers.com. (-:

Congratulations Guys! Now comes the "prove it" phase. Keep up the good work and in a few years nobody will remember the 18X part. Remember the goal oriented focus that got you through the "Q", it will make the inevitable speedbumps a little easier to deal with. Now get out there and make some TS's life interesting. :D

LOL, how true.

One of my new guys arrives on the team, weapons guy.

We deploy to the field, 200 miles from home base, two weeks, weapons training, weapons galore, 106RR, 4.2 inch, 81mm, .50's, AT-4's etc etc etc

We pull of the .50's and the Sr weapons came to me and said "We forgot a piece!" I figured the headspace and timing gauge's, not a problem as I know how to field expediently set the headspace and timing. "Uh, no, Jr. forgot the barrels," all six.

Fellas,

Congrats on you accomplishments. I can speak for 1/3 only, you'll be busy. If you are coming in to 3rd in general prepare to work hard. If you are coming to 1st Bn prepare to work harder. Time off is only a mirage around here. I'd say that this day and age you'll be busy regardless of what team room you drop your gear in, regardless of Group.

Wish you all the best and look forward to supporting you in your mission.

P.S.
If any of you are coming to 1st Bn, 3rd.....please help me help you. I'm your S-2 rep and will be more than happy to help you out with your needs (Clearance, Passport, etc), and trust me, you'll have needs :D

I'm the ugly face that you'll hate to see, and the voice of dispair when you don't want to hear it.
