CNN reporting Turk troops crossing into Iraq [Archive]

CNN is reporting about 300 Turk troops have crossed into Iraq. Anyone have any insights?

They are after the PKK.

Ongoing conflict. The Iraqi government has made mention that they were going to increase security in the region, but I think that is an empty promise. Kurdish leaders in the north would need to get engaged (officially) but that would probably have little effect.
