2 dogs rescued after falling through ice
GREELEY: Firefighters rescued two dogs Sunday afternoon that fell through an icy pond.
The two golden retrievers fell into a pond located off 65th Avenue in Greeley around 12:44 p.m., according to the Union Colony Fire Rescue Authority.
The two dogs, Gunner and Lacy, were in the water for approximately 10 minutes, 50 feet from shore, before firefighters were called. One dog went under the water when firefighters arrived and again when a firefighter entered the water. The firefighter grabbed both dogs at the same time and firefighters on the shore pulled them out.
We're told the dogs were wet and cold, but other than that, were OK. The dogs were able to go home with their owner.
No one else was hurt.
