Took a stroll around the property today and thought I'd share some of the early color with y'all. The first picture is my way of "posting" my property to provide fair warning to legs and liberals:D
I always look forward to your pictures, especially the fall colors....so pretty. Thanks Colonel!
Sir,
Truly beautiful...cannot wait for the trees to turn here. Do you have a favorite tree on property that turns? :)

Truly nice pics.
It rains where your at ? :(
Colonel, your flag pole is awesome! My dad has talked about installing one on his property so he can properly teach the grandkids how to raise and lower the flag when they visit. I'll have to show him yours to light a fire under him.
Beautiful, Sir, I always miss New England in the fall!
Fall?? What's that?? :p (Native Floridian)
Seriously, beautiful pictures. One thing I truly enjoy about the "northern" states is the change in weather/scenery.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Sir for the photos.... You have increased my anticipation for a trip my wife and I will be making the middle of October just to look at the fall colors.....
Jim
beautiful country. my folks live right down the way from you, but it's been a couple of years since I've been there in the fall.
nice pics.

Well, sir, the legs will understand, but the libs will think that it’s an eagle sanctuary on an Indian reservation and that the facilities are environmentally “green”. :D

Thank you for the photos. Our first sign is the poison oak, they turn real read early in the season, then the maples. I am surrounded mostly by evergreens and the color of the deciduous trees become even more highlighted by the green. This is a very beautiful time of year, in a way much like spring when all the different shades of green appear.
Thanks for sharing sir. Your homestead looks beautiful.

The locals frown upon the ol' head-on-a-pike standard? :D

no comments about all the logging left to do.
At my age logging is best described by the formula: D squared over 40.
no comments about all the logging left to do.
Bill, isn't it selective thinning for a healthier forest?
We did a 20% cut a few years back, worse part is cleaning up the mess. We are still cleaning up, over 12 trailer loads of "fire" wood hauled of. We had 7 truck loads of timber.

Jack,
As already noted, good to see the flagpole in a nice setting.
no comments about all the logging left to do.
Bill:
You need to move to Arizona when you retire, so there will be no logging work left to bother you, or trees to obstruct your view.:D

Logging, especially at my advanced age, is best defined in the terms of:
D squared over 40:D
Very nice, Sir. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice sir. Isn't it nice that we can look out of our windows and have such a view?
Except for the hippies, liberals, and communists (and February sometimes), Vermont is God's little patch O' heaven.

COL Jack,
As always, beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them.
We have some friends here from Australia that are here in America for a year. This will be the first Fall where they actually get to see the leaves change like this. Can't wait to share these sights with them.
Hope all is well where you are.

Jack,
You must be painting your foliage out there. Here is about all we get in this part of the country.
Shot is of area one mile plus taken from front of knife shop.

Too many evergreens, you need to get some loggers out there.:D
