"I love it when a plan comes together" :-)

I'm only reporting what's in the press..

Israelis ‘blew apart Syrian nuclear cache’

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article2461421.ece

IT was just after midnight when the 69th Squadron of Israeli F15Is crossed the Syrian coast-line. On the ground, Syria’s formidable air defences went dead. An audacious raid on a Syrian target 50 miles from the Iraqi border was under way.

At a rendezvous point on the ground, a Shaldag air force commando team was waiting to direct their laser beams at the target for the approaching jets. The team had arrived a day earlier, taking up position near a large underground depot. Soon the bunkers were in flames.

Ten days after the jets reached home, their mission was the focus of intense speculation this weekend amid claims that Israel believed it had destroyed a cache of nuclear materials from North Korea.

It's good to have Barak back, he has balls of steel and i feel alot more confident with him at the helm.

I am thinking that I read an article a day or two ago that said Turkey gave them intell and use of their air space to make the raid......on second thought it may have been Lebanon.

Jim:

I also saw that article, it named Turkey.

Actually, the Turkish Military, supposedly the Executive Branch was left out of the loop!

I think it will be quite a few years until we really know all the details.

As the commander greeting the crews arriving home said to the press ... "Shana Tova" (happy new year).

I agree Hoepoe, Barak is the right man it seems.
