Now before any of ya'll go skidding sideways and think I'm making fun, two things:
First, I grew up in country that would make this look rather urbane.
Second: This was my favorite cartoon "way back when".

How about the two hillbillies running around shooting at each other with long rifles on the old Bugs Bunny cartoons?

I liked all the old cartoon people, animals and martians. PC wrecked Sat AMs and the comics.

Who knew that a cartoon (Daisy Mae) could be so hot? :D

As the son of Hillfolk from SW Virginia (having lived there myself and graduating from HS in NE Alabama and such), I always thought that Dogpatch was in the Ozarks...Snuffy Smif was Appalachian...and besides that, Robin Sage country is in the flatlands...

Jessica Rabbit! :D Sorry guys, Betty Boop was right. 2D B&W vs. 3D Color - no competition. NTM Kathleen Turner's voice is enough to melt a man's bones.

Lil Abner served it's purpose well. I too remember it fondly.

I always preferred Sally Kellerman's melifluous tones, but I get the idea.

We always enjoyed the Dog Patch cartoons because they were the only people who worse off than us in Mississippi.
