I don't really have alot to contribute to the forum yet as I mostly lurk/read/study and try to learn as much as I can from you guys. I thought I would share this though as it is very special to me. We had a get-together at the house last night to bring friends and family together prior to my shipping out in a few days. A very good friend of mine suprised me with an amazing gift. My friend is ABS Mastersmith John Horrigan. John works with me and is prior Ranger Batt. He is twin brother of the late Bob Horrigan whom alot of you probably knew. This knife is originally Bob's design that John is making now in his memory. John gave me the knife at the party.

It really means alot to me that John passed on a work of his own hand and it will be waiting in the safe for me when I get back to TX. Here are some pictures of the knife and John, his wife Donna, and myself.

Thanks for looking,
D.

Beautiful blade.

I continue to be amazed at how much John looks like Bob.

Nice knife. I'm glad John has kept Bob's designs in production.
Good luck with your own journey. Peregrino

Debo,
Your keeping some good company and have a fine knife there.

Please say howdy to John and Donna for me.
They are great people.

Edited to add: John is one hell of a fine knifemaker too. He makes stuff that just makes me walk away feeling like I'm in the first grade, especially his forged layer welded stuff.

Debo,
Thanks for posting another very well made project by Mr. Horrigan.

Afetr handling some of John's work over the years, i know that edge is very sharp.
