I know that this is an early post about SHOT Show, but there are some things that people wanting to go should know.
It is 180 days away.
SHOT runs Feb 2-5 in Las Vegas.
That is a Saturday to Tuesday. (Not the typical Thursday to Sunday)
That weekend is Super Bowl Weekend!!!!
Hotel Rooms are going away already!!
Registration to SHOT is the easy part (we have lots of time)

Information can be found at www.shotshow.org

Travel desk has information on rooms near show, but you might want to look at some that are not listed there. Many that the travel desk say are full are taking reservations now and prepaid rooms will save you a lot of funds.

Hope no one has to panic come closer to the show when they can't find a place to stay.

Those that can read.... will have noticed that the story of the taser incident was relayed at the gunshop and not one of personal attempt.

So to answer the question... NO I will not be doing any demonstrations. I have a tendency to dislike anything I cannot see and has the ability to shock the shit out of me.:D

Updates are a MUST!!! I've already gotten a couple phone calls saying "where you at?" Sadly I did NOT make it there this year. Work put the kibosh on SHOT and a couple other things (including a carbine class I was signed up for in March.. ).

So for those who are there, please share the fun with those of us who couldn't be!

This is a basic quick list of what's happened so far.
First night.... Ate good food at Bahama Breeze and drank a fair amount of Beer.
First day of SHOT... saw way too many new cool things that one can write about. Need new shoes to replace my other new shoes. Found out that Yes they can cram more stuff in that convention center than previous shows.
Tonight... Haufbrau has great food and huge beers. The Jager girl has a big wooden paddle and likes it when you say "thank you... may I have another"(just ask one of the board members..... no names!!!!) Other activities tonight have caused me to lose my memory... and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
M1... wish you were here. Could have used you tonight to maintain the balance of stumbling. Send over PM if you need anymore info.

I'll try to submit a more detailed report in the morning after my brain clears. NO there is not a Howl at the Moon here in Vegas!

We met Paul Howe and he gave me a rear sight that is about to hit the market.........and the XS Sight Systems guys placed the sight Paul gave me on a LaRue BUIS.....

We met Mark LaRue, nice gent and busy as hell, but not too busy to say Hi. (Air177 was there somewhere...)

Met Chris Reeve and company..... and there was some mention of a Bill Harsey & Chris Reeve knife called the "Professional Soldier" and ProfessionalSoldiers.com getting the first 100 serial numbered knives....

Met some football "Hall of Fame" guy, forgot his name....;) I think there is a picture or three... he was a personal friend of Mr.Harsey....

Dave Harrington, ran into Dave and chatted for a while...... he's as slow with a weapon as I ever remember, he was drawing from a holster and firing in well under a second....... I was watching....

Maj Plaster was there signing books, I bought his new one and got another picture with him.;)
