For those of you bored on a Friday (or perhaps other days if this takes off), let's do this game. I'll name a city. Next poster names a restaurant they really like which is in that city, plus a different city. And so on.
Example:
New York City
Nobu (this is in NY for those of you who don't know)
Los Angeles
Matsuhisa (this one is in LA)
Fayetteville
OK, Fayetteville is on the clock.

Excellent city choice, Snaquebite! ;)
I like this game!
New York: Babbo (http://www.babbonyc.com/restaurant.html)
Washington DC: Sushi Taro (http://www.sushitaro.com/), best sushi in town.

I may be a bit overboard here, but....
San Francisco
Damn! OK, so we are going linear. I wasn't sure, so I just assumed.:)
Dallas: I only worked there a couple months, and the only restaurant I can remember is Champps, on Belt Line. Thursday night Karaoke contest, drunk hotties stumbling their way through "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.
Washington DC: Sushi Taro
Edit: Sorry, I was typing and didn't see dmgedgoods' post. I'm behind the curve, so I'll just stop digging!

So, Snaquebite, it is looking like Baton Rouge was an excellent city selection by me, eh? ;)
The best new restaurants in America 2007, covers the major cities, including Dallas - Dean Fearing @ "Fearings". Just a side note... The cover, My wife is her body double!!!!!!!!!!!!
If any member is making a reservation @ a great NY restaurant, like Pre Se, or Jean George, Bouley, David Burke etc or in Cali, @ The French Laundry in Napa, or the Lodge in LA, please contact me, I’ll call that restaurant for you - after you have secured a table. It will make all the difference in the world.
Wine tips: anything imported by Robert Chadderdon.

Eugene, Oregon.
For Bluegene Oregon, Ambrosia.
Very good regional Italian food and has wood fired oven for the pizzas.
Also within stumbling distance of the Hilton.
Crucible Steel upper management will concur.
Atlanta, Georgia?
