Looks like you might be buyin', and that will be a double round because I do not see your name or anything else on it that identifies that it is yours. :D

Well dam!! Now after 35 years I have to run down to the engraver so I can post a picture without Jack giving me a bad time.

Okay so here is the bad coin story. I hooked up with a few buddies that rode Harleys (10th Groupers) and we went on a Veteran's Day Poker Run. I showed up at the prescribed time and of course I had my coin with me! One of my good friends, Rock Tyson, talked me into mounting my coin on the timing cover because it looked cool and everyone was doing it. I saw several other bikes and I did think it looked pretty sharp. But you all know what your Mother said about, “Well if everyone was jumping off the bridge…” Rock just happen to have a tube of JB Weld in his saddlebags, so he mixed up a batch and I pulled out my coin. With the JB Weld firmly holding my 10th Group coin in place we take off and as luck would have it, my girlfriend (at the time now my wife) won the pot…like $400 with 4 Kings! Then it happened, Rock dropped a coin on the table quickly followed by every other SF’er in the house! My coin now permanently attached to the 500 lb Motorcycle in the parking lot!

Bottom line...I went home $50 in the hole! But we had a great time and easy come easy go!

****Advert for JB Weld****
That was back in ’99 or 2000 and to this day the coin is still firmly in place! Rock…that was a good batch of JB Weld!

I had to get another coin and no I do not have my name on that one!!!!

Well damn jon I tried replying to your thread and edited by mistake. Guess that gets you off the hook for buying my first round:D Now you know why they only let 18As write the msg but the 18E checks it before it goes out over the air.:D

Sehr schoen gesagt ! :D

I'm looking for some Edelweiss here, but can't see any. I'm in Aurora, CO. right now, looking into the Rockies. Gotta love those Hotels with free internet access...

Edit: Razor, I will be in the Springs later this week. There is a Bavarian Place there, called Edelweiss. I buy you a German beer there, for the coin check... :-)

Both Ron and Stella (his wife) are great people. If he's not at the Suffren "B" when you get there with Mike-Munich, have the bar tender call him. I'm sure he will come by to meet Mike.

Mike if you find time you might want to take a day and visit the Greeley Independence Stampede. Great concerts, rodeos etc. If you come on a day I am working I can get you backstage if there is a concert. Let me know! Here is the link.

http://www.greeleystampede.org/
Check out the events and if something is a must for you send me an IM and I will get some backstage passes for you.

Razor, good talking to you on the phone ! We did stop at the buffalo observation place, but didn't see any. Instead we made the detour to Buffalo Bill's grave. We also went to Carbondale to check out the old downtown. Nice ! I made friends with the Police there and set up a good patch trade. We also went to Aspen that day, hooked up with the Police and Pitkin Co. Sheriff there. Got some nice patches (and I gave them some of mine). We stayed in Snowmass Village for 2 nights. Real nice... Thanks for the hints !

Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of days !

CoLawman, thanks for the info. That's where we are right now. Just returned from the Stampede Festgrounds, sitting on the computer of the Best Western Regency on 8th St. now. Booked my tickets for the Brad Paisley concert tomorrow via the internet from Germany 6 month ago (good thing, it's sold out). We'll return to Greeley for 4th of July, got tickets for the Rodeo too. Can you really hook me up with backstage passes ?? That'll be awesome !!! I'll IM you my phone no.
Thanks for the heads up !

I was kinda hoping to hook up with firebeef here, but haven't seen him online in quite a while.

So much for now. Stay safe ya'll !

First of all, I'm sorry for hijacking this thread. :o

CoLawman, it was great seeing you in Greeley and thanks again for hooking us up ! See you on the 4th !

Razor, thanks for forwarding the messages, everything worked out beautifully. I owe you another beer at Uwe's or the Suffren Bastards Tavern. I left you a message on the answering machine earlier. We came into the Springs today at noon and are staying in a Hotel just outside Peterson AFB now. Gimme a holler tomorrow when you get the chance.

I remember that when I put a case of empty beer bottles out by my entrance, when i lived in Fleck, I would receive a like case of full bottles. Much better than the milk man. It was wonderful!

now it's the other way around. you leave a full case in front of your door, it'll be gone within 30 seconds... things have changed. unfortunately....

LMFAO !!!!!!!!!! :D

Was that before or after JC made Corporal? And what was your sustained rate of fire with your flintlock?

I just had breakfast with the FNG. He has a good attitude and should be an asset to the force for many years to come.

LR.... damn these younger guys are feisty. :) I was assigned to an apartment when i got married. Not in the Kinder Fabrik. These were behind the kaserne, pretty close to the rod and gun club. I believe they were used for the SS training officers originally.
