MAB32,

Memorial Day is not a day to thank us but remember and honor those who have died in service to this great nation.

Very, very well said TS sir!

This Memorial Day we are honoring our family members who have served Our great Country and have passed on.

And may God be with our bravest who are serving now!

This Memorial Day, while you're celebrating, partying, cooking out, or doing whatever it is that you're going to do...Remember the reason we have this holiday and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice in order for you to be able to live your life as a free citizen of this great country. Take a few moments and honor them in some way. Some gave ALL.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

Happy Memorial Day everyone.

Before this WWI Veteran passed away in 2004 someone was able to record his story.

Thanks...I get tired of Memorial day morphing into Veterans day.

Memorial day is for our KIA alone....bless them.

Today has been spent remembering a Spec 4 that left in 1967 for Vietnam larger than life to a 6 year old boy and has not been forgotten 48 years later. Today has also included thinking about his father and uncles who are buried nearby and of all of those whose name I will never know. It also led to the path where I found this and it made me think of you my friends and all those that you have lost through the years. Peace be with you all.

Even thou I think of my Brothers everyday, this day always seems to just make it worst.

I am Honored and Humbled to have known Men as great as them.

God Bless Brothers

Sorry I'm late on this thread. (Did not have online access for several days.)

My thanks to all servicemen - particularly QPs - who have given their lives in service to this country. You are not forgotten.
