Giving someone an unchallenged podium like this violates the most basic broadcasting ethics. She has to have dirt on someone in that organization. This is not typical behavior for that network, it's not consistent. Plus ratings continue to drop.
Basic Body language clearly shows her co-host are extremely uncomfortable and confused. There is something not right with their behavior. It's not like the Hog owns the show or is the Boss. So why do they fear her is what I want to know.

As I have small "sponge-like" children who repeat everything, there isn't much TV on in my house therefore I don't watch the View (well, that and I HATE Rosie with the fire of a million hot burning suns). However, that doesn't stop me from counting down the days until her contract expires - three weeks and maybe she'll never show again? :munchin Though they didn't formally say she was kicked off, I like to think Barbara Walters and Co. had enough with her antics and Imused her. Hollyweird, and in fact some other professions as well (politics), will often times make a deal to help a public figure "save face" when giving them the heave-ho. They will state for public record that the seperation was "voluntary", when in truth it was anything but.
I think the public had finally had enough. She crossed a line with her latest stupidity, that finally, the masses found intolerable.

I hadn't seen the footage until today. (I despise watching anything with Rosie O'Donnell in it). After reading this thread, I had to go check it out.
Unbelievable. I guess if you have a video pulpit, and can pull in ratings via controversy, you can say anything superficial and not be required to back it up.
I would argue that Rosie is a terrorist. She is spreading propaganda that is intent on destroying the morale of our soldiers and convince the American people (and the world) that we, as the big, bad, rich world power, are victimizing these poor people in Iraq. Didn't Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose do similar things? They were convicted of treason and spent time in prison. Rosie? Well, she had the chance to save face by leaving the show three weeks early. The times, they are 'a changin'.
She is just as treasonous as the above-mentioned Sally & Rose (along with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi...don't forget about what they did a few weeks ago). She does not deserve to keep her freedom of speech. She does not deserve to stay here.
As TR said, she'll have another show within 90 days. Sadly, there will be sheep that follow her. After all, there's nothing else on, and they don't want to think for themselves.

I like your post and agree with it. It made me smile for a couple of reasons. One is the bus meet rosie which made me think of Chiba Buses. That's a meeting I'd like to arrange.
The other reason is the alternative lifestylers (good turn of phrase) because I've always thought that being part of an SF family was an alternative lifestyle. It's certainly different than anything my family or his family are doing.
Forget sending O'Donnell to Iraq or any other place where she would do nothing more than get in the way. Instead, send her to live with an SF wife for a month. If she survived I'll bet she would be singing a totally tune than crap she's spewing now.

This is her 4 year old daughter Vivian Rose. She is playing "make believe" games with her older brothers and I guess Rosie likes to share these things with the world. Now Rosie can't understand why she's getting all kinds of nasty feedback from all her loyal followers who are disturbed(!) and shocked(!) by this photo. Meanwhile, I'm DYING laughing. I mean, I know she's seriously lacking in self-awareness but DANG.

Thanks, but while I do love them unconditionally, I like them a whole lot more when they are behaving. ;) I never understood as a kid why my mom said to me, "I love you, but I don't like you much right now." I get it now and my kids aren't even teenagers yet.
