The location of this structure is fairly obvious, but can any non-7th Grouper or local tell us what the name of this business is and what its main source of revenue might be?

Note: Almost all of the old 3/7 hands or people who have been TDY there can answer this easily, so give our junior detectives a chance.

No, and No.

Luke, I think you have probably spent quite a bit of time there, and know exactly where and what it is.

I was thinking Belize; although it could be Grenada.

I admit, I didn't spend much time down town in either place :p

Really? I think you are referring to Tijuana, Mexico, but it is hear to tell.

I would have thought that the name of the beer plastered all over the outside of the building would be a dead giveaway as to at least the country it is in.

I need the name of the enterprise AND source of revenue.

No need guessing at the latter till we have the former.

Let's see those Google skills help you now, Grasshopper!

Watchu mean "Junior"? When I got out ther was no 3/7. It would have been C/7 with feet firmly stuck in Pineland.

I was in CoA, 8th SFGA. :D

Some possibilities:
One type:
Elite II(formerly known as Josephines) or Le Palace

another type establishment:
Acuarius, Caribbean Center, Golden Time, Hawaii Center, Sauna Horario, Oasis Massage, River Club, and Royal Elegance

Another type:
Club Acropol, Club Fenix (formerly Capri Discoteque), Club Miami, and La Mayor

I must say...looking at the pic, it appears as if the sign reads CAZ...something like ina . So I don't think my above guesses are close. Based on the pic: Club Cazina???

No, as NDD pointed out, it is a national beer brand. Every place in the U.S with a Bud, Miller, or Coors sign in the window is not a brewery either.

Sac, I am not sure what those places you are describing are, are the in the Big Easy or something?

QRQ, are you familiar with the establishment?

My google powers are no good against you master yoda. They were search results of nightclubs, adult bars, brothels, etc in Panama.

Based on my very limited experiences SOB(never been to Panama)... it is probably something much less "adult".. perhaps an indoor cock fighting(chickens for you pervs)/gambling establishment or something more LATAM in culture than what we are all thinking?

May have to give a few hints or point out the obvious on this one Sir.

Sir, my guess is that it is the Ancon Inn (or old Ancon Inn) in downtown Panama City.

Main source of revenue would be prostitution.

Here is what I got from my Google search.

It has the ear marks of a combo disco/brothel. Notice the series of small rooms on the second floor. I seldom went to P.C. There was, however, a neat place just passed the continental divide on the trans-isthmian hwy. It had a pool table, was air-conditioned, the girls were from Columbia and Bolivia and mama-san payed off the guardia so it was a safe place to wind down.

Ding, ding, ding!!

We have a winner.

Less than 24 hours, XspankyX, and you spotted it with a different paint job from a different perspective.

You are either very good, have spent time in Panama, or you had some help from someone else.

Well done, regardless! Mission accomplished.

Thanks for playing, folks.

An interesting lesson might be how you guys go about 'googling' images?
I imagine everyone has their own processes, I normally grab all readable names from the picture and google them.

Anyone else going to chip in?

I just typed in "Downtown Panama" in the Google image search. I kept it basic and ended up lucky. I found the old picture and compared the two images.

The brothel part was an educated guess. Others on the site mentioned it and it sounded reasonable to me.

Reaper,

The closest I have ever came to the Ancon was just about the same place that the pic was taken. I tended to spend my time in My Place, Patatuse and El Rancho.
