View Full Version : This one will break your heart.
A friend from work showed me pictures from the funeral for a young Marine, Staff SSgt. Golczynski, killed last week in Iraq. The first picture is of Staff SSgt. Golczynski’s 8 yr old son, Christian, accepting the flag from his father’s coffin. He is trying so hard to be brave. It is one of the most gut-wrenching photos I have ever seen. Please keep this little boy and his family (along with all of our soldiers and their families) in your prayers.

:( RIP SSgt. Fair winds & following seas to your loved ones left behind.

I was watching the news the other night & they interviewed this young man along with his mother. At several points thru the interview he fought back his grief & loss & carried on with accomplishing his mission of answering the questions in away to make his Father proud. It was evident though even thru his bravery & all his preparation to be strong, that his young heart was hurting deeply. The interview ended with one last simple question from the interviewer, " So what do you want to be when you grow up?" to which the young son sat up erectly, looked the interviewer straight in the eye, strong energetic proud smile leaped across his face, & replied... " a MARINE "

The photo says it all, that is a tough and yet pained young man. His father has a lot to be proud of. RIP SSG.
