Do you think today vote by the Senate will effect recuriting and retention? I sure would hate to be on recuriting duty.

Those who want to serve and those who are prepared to serve will still sign up. That being said, most (IMO) who sign up are ignorant or oblivious to politics, anyway. Those who are aware of and/or follow politics are probably about 10% of people, anyway.

The Dims realize they don't have the horsepower to override the veto. So, you have to ask yourself why this went forward anyhow? Spmetimes these jokers just get caught up in some sort of ritualistic posturing. Congress is like your wife when she brings up stuff that you think is ancient history. The Dims want this in their back pocket for later, not thinking for a moment it is going to make it.

I think what you will find is that the folks that would raise their right hand will not be put off by this.

If the whole idea surrounds the "civil war" issue, what was Kosovo and Bosnia? Don't lay the "genocide" line out either. There are events in Africa that nobody evens speaks of and we aren't there either.

As long as it's an all volunteer force, I don't think it will affect the morale.
However, what the likes of Reid, Pelosi, Murtha etc. have done is give
"Aid and Comfort" to the scum-sucking Pigs, (Muslim facists), image how their words are playing in Al-Jazeera, the network terrorists trust. Putting our guys in great danger from an enemy that wants to die,(Cause they got nothing to live for), If what the Dems in Congress and the House are doing is not "Sedition" I don't know what is. Why do we have that law anyway if its ignored???

Remember when the Republican Congress shut down the government while Clinton was in office and the press pilloried them for it, not bipartisan, obstructionist, failing to work together to find a solution, etc.?

Let's see what they say about this one.

You are correct. However, shuting down Goverment during Clinton by Republicans does not even come close. Calling for surrender/defeat date
during a time of conflict? While our troopers are on the ground downrange?
I fear being defeated from within, by our own misguided Americans.
