Time for the National Guard to fix this?

"He was drawing a paycheck from the people of the State of Ohio while trying to launch a Jihad against people like me."
It is crazy that the local residents, let alone the Guard, don't stand against this. US citizens, myself included, need to wake up and understand that terror is not just fought thousands of miles away by our Armed Forces oversees with rifles and rockets against a foreign enemy. We need to take responsibilty in protecting our freedoms at home as citizens while are troops are fighting away from home. I'm happy to say that I joined the National Guard this morning, but it shouldn't have taken that step for me to stand up against terrorism. Everyone has a part to play. If we don't stand up, they will pin us down.

Dr. Pino is listed in Who’s Who in American Education and Who’s Who in America.
What does that say about the sorry state of affairs in higher education today?

Seems to be more common lately, I just read an article were the required reading for a class was a book claiming the US was the ones behind Sept 11Th attacks.(Ill see if I cant find the article). Very disturbing none the less.
God forbid we leave people be so we can watch them, see who their talking to and dealing with. I don’t know gather intelligence, that’s what they call it right? Let the small fish go to help you go hunting for Marlin.
But no, we have to play SuperCop and make a big deal out of catching a group of retarded Haitian kids in Miami playing Jihad, when we could have used them as chum.
Now because of some self-righteous ideologue we’ve wasted another piece of bait. MI5 and Special Branch have been wheeling in fish that you wanna mount over your fireplace by the boatload, by stringing around fools like this. And they can actually convict the bastards too, unlike us!

Many people believe that Julio Pino deserves to be fired because of his public statements about the War on Terror. I disagree. A simple firing is too light a punishment.
Dr. Julio Pino, for his decision to "provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our (enemies) worldwide" deserves to be arrested and sent to an island off the coast of North America, striped naked, interrogated, and, if necessary, tortured to ascertain the extent of his involvement in assisting our enemies.
Amen!
I am all about freedom of speech, and allowing others to have their own opinions. I just don't understand how someone like this could actively support the opposition - I am not sure about assisting, but definitely supporting - and nothing happen to him. Are people really that oblivious to the repercussions of these types of actions?
What happened to all of the American flags on everyone's cars? Did they all think that President Bush was lying when he said this was going to be a long, brutal war?
Sorry, I know I am preaching to the choir... :boohoo

Reminds me of something I read in the Introduction of American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us by Steven Emerson. c. 2002
"...these groups have achieved a new level of coordination,
owing to their exploitation of the civil liberties of the United
States. None of these small national groups was ever able
to coordinate its worldwide efforts with the others until they
came to the United States. Operating in our open society,
with freedom of speech and assembly and with only casual
oversight from the FBI, the CIA, and the Immigration and
Naturalization Service, the worldwide network of militant
Islamic organizations has finally been able to coordinate. They
have operated here both in order to direct activities in the
Middle East and to target America. ..."
Somehow, I don't think our Founding Fathers had these guys in mind when they were establishing the framework and principles on which our country stands.

Sounds like the French to me... :D
Expanding on the state of higher education, the worst, most ridiculous professor I ever encountered was in my freshman year writing class. This crazy liberal woman would go off on political tangents from time to time and one day she proceeded to tell us that G. W. Bush had stolen the election, and then proceeded to tell us that Iraq never invaded Kuwait, that that invasion was ficticiously created to justify going to war with Iraq for the real reasons of oil. I couldn't believe I was hearing that. Anyways I did my work got my A and then wrote on the teacher review comments sheet that she was insane and about what she had said... now the bitch works in the Honors Department here. Go figure.
Thankfully I have found a true conservative chemistry professor and I do research for him. Very refreshing. In fact he wore a great T-shirt today... it says " If you are going to burn our flag, please wrap yourself in it first".
There are few like him, sadly, in our institution. Currently I am in a battle with one of our associate athletic directors as he sent out an email promoting JMU's Athletic Department Future Minority Equity Plan. I politely emailed him back and told him after just going through medical school interviews and seeing how rampant racial discrimination is, I was sick of race being used as a factor in admissions or for special services, that was the general jist. He emailed me back, basically calling me racist and telling me to attend his upcoming diversity seminars to improve myself. Bastard. Accomplishment is where its at.
EDIT: I remembered more on what she said

Mind Siege by Tim LaHaye
Presents a Christian world view, but it really gets into the work of academia in bending the will of young people in a university setting. Heck with reviews like this it must be good right???
." Some readers will be thrilled by this call to trek what the authors feel is the moral high ground, especially those who base their religious values upon intolerance of racial equity, homosexual love, and women's right to choose (even if that choice makes her a single parent in a "nontraditional family"). Others will most likely find this a disturbing and offensive contribution to the American landscape. --Gail Hudson

KSU prof focus of Secret Service inquiry Previously was accused of being author of anti-American Web site
July 22, 2009

The U.S. Secret Service delivered a federal search warrant at the home of a Kent State University professor Tuesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation.
Kent police assisted in serving the warrant at the Morris Road home of Julio C. Pino.
Neighbors saw several cars and law enforcement agents at Pino’s home shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.
David Lee, a spokesman for the Secret Service’s Akron Bureau, declined to discuss what Secret Service agents were looking for at Pino’s home.
“We have an ongoing investigation which involves (Pino), but since it has an ongoing status we cannot pass on any information at this time,” Lee said.
Pino is an associate professor of history, specializing in Latin American History....
According to the KSU History Department Web site, some of Pino’s current courses include Comparative Latin American Revolutions, Afro-Latin America and History of Women in Latin America.
In 2007, Pino was accused by a conservative Web site of being the author of an anti-American Web site that claimed to support global terrorism.
Authorities would not say Tuesday if the search warrant was related to Pino’s alleged involvement with the site.
In a blog posted at www.Townhall.com, self-described conservative Mike S. Adams, a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, claimed Pino, a Muslim, operated a blog called “Global War” at global-war.bloghi.com. The “Global War” blog claims to be “a jihadist news service” providing “battle dispatches (sic), training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide.”....
I would like to wish Associate Professor Julio Pino well, and the hope that he truly get all that he deserves.

Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
Mike Adams
Wednesday, February 28, 2007
Yesterday afternoon, I logged on to the "Global War" blog (global-war.bloghi.com) of Associate Professor Julio Pino – a Muslim convert who teaches at Kent State University. The heading for the site used to read "The Worldwide Web of Jihad: Daily News from the Most Dangerous Muslim in America." Now it reads "Are You Prepared for Jihad?" IN THE NAME OF OBL. 2007: THE YEAR OF ISLAMIC VICTORY!"
Hardly able to believe what I was reading, I called Pino at his office in Ohio around 4 p.m. According to his secretary, he had not been at work that day (he only has office hours two days of the week). He was drawing a paycheck from the people of the State of Ohio while trying to launch a Jihad against people like me. In fact, just five minutes before I called he posted an entry under the title "Crusaders Can’t Take Anymore in Afghanistan!"
Pino began his morning of not going into his office at Kent State by penning a post under the title “Frightened British Crusaders Rush More Troops to Occupied Afghanistan.” Using terms like “occupation” and “Crusaders” it isn’t really necessary to read these posts in order to ascertain who this employee of the State of Ohio is rooting for in the War on Terror.
But, just in case you were curious about the purpose of this site, it is provided in the upper right corner: "We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide. All we want is to get Allah’s pleasure. We will write ‘Jihad’ across our foreheads, and the stars. The angels will carry our message throughout the world."
There is also an "Oath of Freedom" in the upper right corner: "We were born free. We will live freely and when death comes to us, we will die freely. Jihad is changing all that can be changed; freeing ourselves through our own efforts; and the conviction that truth will prevail, inshallah."
Under the entry "Sister Detonates Herself to Eliminate Shia Traitors" there is a description of a female suicide bomber who recently killed 41 people. Just in case you wondered how the host of the site feels about the suicide bomber, the next line tells you: "Now she lies on the Golden Couch of Paradise."
Despite his clear support of mass murder, he once complained that the Jews were engaged in genocide against the Palestinians. He claimed that as a result of that assertion, he was "harassed" and received "death threats."
I’ve always assumed that a person who advocates mass murder runs the risk of getting an occasional death threat in the office. Maybe Pino isn’t really the "Most Dangerous Muslim in America." Maybe he’s just a pro-Palestinian pansy whose cushy job with the State of Ohio lets him hide inside his house while real men are doing the work that keeps this great nation going.
But, just to be fair to Pino, he is more balanced in his teaching than a lot of my colleagues at UNC-Wilmington. In fact, he’s even willing to criticize an occasional Democrat. He says that John F. Kennedy once planned "genocide against the Cuban people" in the 1960s. He also claims that President Bill Clinton killed "more than 500,000 Iraqi children" in the 1990s.
Although obsessed with the notion that America is being over-run by "Christian fascism," he has affectionately referred to his students his "little Jihadists" and his "beloved Taliban." In other words, he makes no bones about the fact that he works to indoctrinate, not educate, the children of the taxpayers of the State of Ohio.
After we are done with him, he is free to return to Ohio. That is unless, of course, he is found to be something more than a professorial pansy posing as a genuine Jihadist.
Dr. Pino is still afraid to return Dr. Adams calls. Allah seems to have blessed the Cuban convert with an unusually small "julio-ju dilly."

I hate when this happens in my neighborhood.
I hate when this happens in my neighborhood.
Actually local talk shows in this area (and yours) have been trying to make everyone aware of this jihadist professors agenda for the last three or four years.
It is indeed a strange world when we even have to spend limited resources to deal with such wannabe jihadis - which may or may not mean they are any less dangerous than the real threats - guess Che, Mao, Ho, and Vladimir are passe' in today's pseudo-revolutionary crowd of born agains.
Ever notice how these guys prefer to practice their allegiences and antipathies to whomever or whatever in a nice, safe environemt like a university campus as opposed to the streets of Beirut or wherever - clever - but sure makes me question all their supposed true-believeristic bombast. ;)

I've been following this perverted creep for some years now..it is amazing what 'academia' accepts as simply 'another valid opinion' IN THE SCHOOL HOUSE.
Since Kent is not too far from here, I just might sit in one of his classes as a "New" potential Student to the Berkley of the mid-west. I just need to get an "infidel" baseball cap and shirt..........:)
