I personally think it would be a better train wreck to watch a bunch of pasty white office pukes fumble through something like that. Anyone ever read the book "Angry White Pyjamas?" It's the personal account of an Oxford educated scholar that attended one of the toughest Akido dojo's in Japan. Very good read (Oxford can teach people to write) poor fella was out of his element.

I wonder what the reaction will be if they have to learn Chado (Tea Ceremony), Ikebana (Flower arranging), calligraphy, and write Haikus?

Seems more like it is concentrated on the physical / mental aspect of being a warrior, and less the intellectual aspects.

Still, looks like it should be a good show.

If they do this right, it could be fascinating.

Sounds fun, but I don't think the family would appreciate me disappearing for an unofficial trip like that.

What we need is a young super stud to represent! :munchin

Thinking of the people that frequent this board, I think that SF +/or PS.com could easily be represented in more than one of those seven slots.

And, with all due respect, speaking as your elder, WM, Sir, why limit it to 'young' ? :D ;)

It is going to have to be a former SF guy, unless the US Army agrees to sponsor the event or give permissive TDY/leave for it to a very busy troop.

I wonder who would do better; a young stud or an old seasoned (aka vintage) warrior?

I've read some negative remarks concerning this show on other boards and I’d like to address some of them.

This show will/should place SOF personnel in a good light and it will/should be amusing. Anytime we can place former SF’ers in a positive public forum we should take advantage.

ProfessionalSoldiers.com has nothing to do with the "Special Forces: Manhunt".

If you are not a Quiet Professional, ie, a past or present member of the US Army Special Forces you do not speak for us.

I was waiting for someone to bring this up... what are the QP's thoughts on this show?

I watched three minutes..... on the upside that was 2 minutes and 59 seconds longer than I watched the "Unit".;)

Both are not well thought out and plain stupid, but that's just my opinion.

I'm sure I will take a beating on this.

I took a look at that world of wonder <dot> net site thinking it must have something to do with the production. Does it?

I checked it out to see if they had any broadcast dates listed. I was curious to see if there was any reason for me to pay $60/month to reconnect my TV. Haven't found a reason yet.

If that site is behind the production of this show I have no interest in watching. Absolutely none.

Two questions come to mind after looking at that website: Who is the target audience? What is the goal of the production?

I definitely don't meet their demographic and I never will under any circumstances.

Think I will hold off on the reconnection and after two months get a copy of SOG:Team History and Insignia of a Clandestine Army instead. Far better use of my time and money.

Cheers :)

Roger that. I watched about 10 minutes of the episode where he was in "Siberia". Couldn't stand it. I then noticed an hour later that they had a newer episode where this guy was in "Honduras" and it was produced in 2006.

Both total crap. I'm not a QP, but it still seemed like an incredibly stupid show. I particularly enjoyed how they refered to Mr. "Ryan" as a "Government Agent".

I did some reseach and couldn't find anything to support that title. The most recent thing I could find said that he was a security consultant.

Then again I should have known better then to watch this show after they kept refering to EVERYONE as Special Forces.......

Oh, and these shows were on directly after the Weaponology show on DragonSkin...........
