Perfect Soldiers: The Hijackers - Who They Were, Why They did It. by Terry McDermott
I picked this up at a Book Sale at my local public library and found it fascinating.
McDermott did a great deal of research to try to get a better understanding of who the hijackers were, and why they did it.
It's a very good read. Really interesting.

Perfect Soldiers is a required text for my Politics of International Terrorism class. He seems to have done his homework. I had a hard time putting it down.

I resent his use of the term "Soldiers" to refer to the murderers who acted on 9/11.
Soldiers are members of Armies. They follow the rules of law and war.
They don't intentionally murder innocent civilans.
sol·dier (sōl'jər) n.
1. One who serves in an army.
2. An enlisted person or a noncommissioned officer.
3. An active, loyal, or militant follower of an organization.
Clearly he's using the 3rd definition.

I was about to write the same thing..... you beat me to it!
Terrorists are not soldiers.
Soldiers do not target women and children.

I think "Tools" would be a better choice of words to describe them.
